God really does his work in His perfect timing. God really used my struggles ever since STEM, bitterness toward the church, and different experiences i've experience in the past to minister to a fellow brother i recently met. No matter how painful this experience was, He made it good for His glory.
My decision to go to GKYM was in God's perfect plan the fact that I had a chance to meet this brother of mine. After our first night of worship, that brother shared that he wanted to "FEEL" God. The feeling that a "miracle" happened just like the people in the old testament. And I was trying to be reasonable with Him, I was really confident that God will do His work, yet did not know the proper timing. I had this confident because as he was sharing, i saw his heart and really felt like he was seeking God. In Luke 11:9-10 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
Francis Chan gave the message about reading the word and just doing what the bible tells us to do. It was so simple, and so powerful with application that is doable. And as he continued to share about his experience with reading the word and doing what the word said, i was really feeling how the holy spirit works. As he wrapped up his message, i really had this urge to ask that brother if the message was relevant to him. He began to reflect on the message and looked at me with a confused look to find out that God was speaking to him directly. He began jotting down different things in his journal and started to debrief what had happened. This moment, i was filled with joy that is indescribable because i just experienced a miracle of God happening right in front of my eyes.
Next night, as we had the opportunity to pray during worship, that same brother began opening up about his struggles and his bitterness. As he was sharing, it was the same thing i was going through ever since STEM 2011. As i was listening to him, i felt like he was describing my life. It was seriously a God given opportunity to minister to him through my struggles and experience. God opens doors in His timing "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose." Rom 8:28
