the depression i have isn't cute or alluring. it's not sweeping my floors even though they're disgusting, it's leaving food on dishes to rot even past me being able to stand the scent and still not being able to convince myself to clean them. it's not showering or brushing my teeth even though they're crumbling in my mouth on the brink of falling out.

it's weightless and weighted, most like drowing without suffocating. it's not belonging. to people or to places. it's being so so incredibly replaceable, like slipping through an open fist.

when you tell me you love me, it feels like a universal truth and simultaneously like the cruelest lie.

i know you mean it when you say it, that it is your truth, but i also know when you say you love me, you say it to your perception of me. to the image you've crafted in your mind of who i am and who i could be. what i don't know is if we're one and the same, if we're close enough to be siblings or even relatives, or if we would just be strangers passing on a street.

when you say you love me, i want so badly to believe it and not doubt for a second, but how could i ever hope to know if the parts of me that don't fit your image will overcome the frame? if you'll see me someday and not know me as someone you love, if your truth will become a lie you feel obligated to tell.

will the same happen to me? when i say i love you i mean it, it is my truth from my heart and soul, but i can only say it to the you i have in my mind, to the image of you. in my mind, who you are and who i see are the same, two exact photocopies placed ontop of each other. but can i ever know if they're placed exactly? if the photos line perfectly or will the parts of you that don't fit the picture overcome the frame? will i look at you and not know you as someone i love?

will there come a day, today, tomorrow, yesterday even, when eyes that looked at me with a spark of joy turn to looking at me with distain?

i hope and pray to a god i don't believe in every day that that never comes true, but it has in other instances, it's a story i've lived time and time again and i am so afraid.

no one can know the future, no promises can be made in stone, so even with all this fear and trepidation, i will choose to believe that when you say you love me, you mean me as i am, just as i do you.

As someone who’s job is to handle chemicals like this, I need to state that this information is IMPORTANT. Plenty of people have accidentally injured or killed themselves at home because they didn’t know what kind of reaction certain substances have with one another. Play it safe and don’t mix chemicals.

all i can say is i’m sickened by this mess, by the atrocities committed against innocent people. and now there will be no surveillance. no one will be able to see what happens to these people. the UN, the media, and any other human rights organizations cannot get into these facilities, either, in order to stop what’s happening. by the way, coast guard members were apparently aiding in this process as well. so now it’s only a matter of time before it becomes a military movement.

The idea that butch and femme are ‘only for lesbians’ is more TERF nonsense trying to drive further wedges between lesbians and bi/pan/ply/omnisexual people, not to mention the LONG history of the terms being used in the ball community by gay men and trans women, ESPECIALLY QTPOC.

I have to agree with @vaspider. Historically, butch and femme have been used by any wlw/nonbinary/queer women. It isn’t lesbophobic to use them, and you shouldn’t let the fact that the replacement terms are cute distract you from the current radical issues within the LGBTQ+ and especially wlw communities.

The terms above are rarely ever seen, and it’s a growing issue that LGBTQ+ teens come to tumblr and are dissuaded from using their own identities and coerced into thinking similarly to TERFs.

Tumblr has a culture of extreme sensitivity and shame hosting thousands of teens and adults that come here to explore themsleves freely and find communities unavailable to them in person, and many people are subsequently shamed out of spaces before they have the information and skills to combat radicals and and actual phobes. Not everyone can spot the difference yet between cries of “I’m here and I need visibility, respect, and support,” and the reverse, the shouts of “Pay attention, I’m more important, value me!” Language used to protect the LGBTQ+ community is turned on its head and shaped into TERF and radical propaganda that resonates with young teens because it sounds right, it sounds politically correct, and nobody wants to step on any toes.

The very first opening claim from OP screams just that: I hear you and I want to accommodate your needs. Some needs shouldn’t be met. They aren’t needs, they’re rallies for segregation within the queer/LGBT community and we need to stop propagating them.

This post isn’t cute. You can use any of the terms above that you like, and you absolutely can use butch and/or femme.
