There are not many trees in the desert so there is plenty of light to see the road, and heat and vultures high in the sky. I always bring 7 gal of extra water and if I bring my dog I pack 14 gallons. And emergency food is always kept in my rig. Trust me, I've looked for those desert streams and I don't see many. Haha. No fish catching up here.
