How does the presidency of Duterte affect the Catholic Religious Groups?

We all know that Duterte empahasizes that the Catholic Church teachings are false and are unlikely to be true, and He explained that the Church based their teachings on personal beliefs because no one has ever seen, heard, or touched God and proved it. “What I said was your God is not my God because your God is stupid” A controversial statement and remark by the president.

The arguments used by both parties to criticize each other. Duterte empahasizes that corruption is rampant in the church especially in priests and priests recieve no income from the government and yet they are still able to buy their own personal things. “Main reason-corruption”, and the Church targeted the president through the brutality and fatality of his war on drugs campaign.
