Honest Thoughts on EA's Star Wars Battlefront
I posted this on the EA Star Wars Battefront Facebook page in the comment section, but I didn’t want it to just get lost in comment madness, so I figured I’d share my thoughts with you all. Feel free to add your thoughts and opinions… I’d love to hear how everyone REALLY feels.
So here it is….
“Can’t believe EA Star Wars didn’t take advantage of this franchise opportunity like they could have. Not including a campaign was a mistake especially when you have one of the MOST recognized and fleshed out storylines in the WORLD, how could you think a campaign WASN’T IMPORTANT?????? … not including space battles was a mistake… forcing everyone to pay for a season pass of dlc that we are unsure of the content being created is also a mistake. EA really knows how to make that money but they are missing out actually giving the fans what they really want. This game could have been a completely mind blowing experience with a completely accurate representation of the Star Wars Universe, especially with having access to the Star Wars Archives and real models from the movies. Instead, we got a decent online experience and a good game… but not one that has raised the bar. EA’s Star Wars Battlefront is forgettable, and that’s the problem. No one will care by the end of the season pass… everyone will have moved on to the next fps or epic game with a real storyline. You have squandered your opportunity EA… you could have made something to change the game, instead you made something to make a profit, and limit your bottom line.”
