"I can be useful, sir" If you live in Seattle, go see #dunkirk while it's showing at Cinerama. Outstanding in every respect; possibly Nolan's best. We're lucky to get it in 70mm - go experience it!! . . . #ink #drawing (at Seattle Cinerama)
and some people say that it's just rock and roll / ah but it gets you right down to your soul
Unused concept from a project I was working on earlier this year.
Life goals accomplished. #radiohead (at KeyArena at Seattle Center)
Had the privilege of seeing this one in 70mm at Cinerama - always a blast celebrating celluloid! Very much worth a watch if you're into '70s films/culture, monster movies, or dr. Steve Brule. Watch for the coloring in the Saigon scene, too... 😍
Get out... of your couch and go see this movie. Brilliant directorial debut from @jordanpeele and further proof of my theory that if you can direct comedy well you can direct pretty much anything. One of the best horror films I've ever seen, and it uses the genre to say things about race in America in a uniquely effective way. #getout

From a Robert Frank photo
John Hurt doodle from his role as the priest in Jackie. One of my favorite actors - he will be missed.
Tiny DF dubs. (unused sketch from 2016 commission)
Once more with feeling! Playback should be working now. Still not a Macklemore track.
Last week felt like a gut-punch to a lot of us. We discovered together how much hate and anger is bubbling under the surface in our country (and, increasingly more often, boiling over.) Most of us are afraid of what comes next.
It’s right to be afraid, but let’s not let it overwhelm us. We can’t hide away from each other in our comfortable homes any more. We can respond to fear with hate and isolation or we can respond with something else. It’s probably going to be really hard; that just means it’s worth it.
(Apologies for the rough production - I decided I'd rather put this out than sit on it 'til it's totally polished)
Tale of Tales (Garrone, 2015.) For Elaine Cho’s movie review.
