usually, she doesn’t tell people where she lives. since her shared home was a sanctuary & letting others come posed a risk. she doesn’t trust people. you never know who’ll use that information against you so she’s cautious. extra cautious. but she sees him differently. maybe her view of him is slightly biased, since his name resembles that of her favorite comfort food or maybe he did manage to interest her. who knows. all she knows is that he’s one of the few people whose head she didn’t want to chop off. her stomach vibrates, & its not from hunger, its a signal for an incoming message. before she retrieves it, she stuffs four mini cookies in her mouth, a subtle smile tugging at her lips.

⊰ — クロメ ⊱  ❛ there aren’t many decent people in the world, honestly.❜ or so she presumed. she definitely hasn’t met everyone in the world, not a number close to it, but she has found that most of the people the world looks up to are corrupted. the “holiest” man can murder countless people, but only if it benefits him. riches is what separates everyone from the line of corruption. she believes that, no, she knows that. and the kindest person in the world could turn sour for the right price. therefore, “good” people don’t exist to her, its only people who pretend to be good. FAKES. like mythical creatures really. you can say they exist somewhere, somehow but they don’t. they’re all just figments of our imaginations, only to be seen on tv. and we all want one, or want to be one. she also didn’t understand the girl’s greed for a boyfriend. Hyojin wasn’t captivated by the idea of loving someone, or someone loving her. the only love she needed was her blood. yet, she couldn’t help being somewhat curious. could someone love her as much as her sister or perhaps, MORE? what if they found out just how fucked up she is, would they still like her? she doubted it. that’s why she can’t focus on love. its fake too. ❛ I wouldn’t get my hopes up, but you never know. maybe you’ll find your perfect guy if you keep working at it. or maybe the key to finding him is to not look at all, let him find you.❜

Hyojin reminds herself of that everyday. back in the dark ages, she was alone with no one but herself to count on & in those times she wished she had at least one person. those times were the times where she was consumed in darkness & the only way she could numb that was by killing– insane right. but, she’s not like that anymore. ever since she’s found her sister she’s been getting further out of the darkness & into the light. and right now, she’s happier than she’s been in years. even if Hyojin didn’t put her trust in this girl, even if she didn’t know this person that well– she’d still be her shoulder. just so she wouldn’t feel completely alone. her hands raises, giving the girl’s shoulder a pat with a small nod to reaffirm. ❛ one person is enough.❜

⊰ — クロメ ⊱  HONESTLY, what can she do for him. hug him? she could but her body doesn’t radiate that warm, comforting aura most girls do. she’s cold & distant, so naturally her hugs would be similar. she’s not a tender, loving person YET, she felt the need to give him affections. possibly because she understands him, or maybe she’s starting to get normal human emotions. her body urges, but she’s hesitant. skin ship wasn’t a thing she practiced regularly, though lately she’s been trying. she wants to be more comfortable & open with people touching her because she wants to be able to enjoy that humanly warmth again. and that’ll take time but baby steps are key & when she put her hand on his shoulder, that was her first baby step. ❛ they’ll stop….eventually.❜ truthfully, she suffers the same disease. nightmares plague her sleep every night & she’s doesn’t know the key to getting rid of them but she does know how to dull the pain. ❛ Just remember, its a dream. a awful dream, yes, but nonetheless still a dream. when you wake up, you aren’t in any danger and nothing bad has happened so don’t mind them too much.❜

⊰ — クロメ ⊱ DEFINE PEACEFUL SLEEP. those terms are way too foreign for her understanding. restless nights are her best friends & every time her eyes close she’s haunted by vividly painted memories of her previous life. so peaceful sleep? she gets none of that, she hasn’t had it in years. or actually, she’s never had it that’s why the term is so odd. sleep used to be impossible due to her hellish training, her body ached even when she rested & if it wasn’t that she was too paranoid to rest. thinking someone would snipe her in her unconscious state. but, of course she can’t say any of this. the other might think she’s out of her mind. instead she racks her brain to find a non-morbid response. ❛ killing won’t solve your sleep problems.❜ they’ll make it worse actually. ❛ why can’t you sleep? you’re probably just stressed, learn to relax or drink alcohol before you sleep. i heard that helps. ❜
