Jolene wanted to stay in Baberton actually - she did. She wanted to get to know Jackie better, help her through this whole friend thing. She wanted to be with her sister and look out for her because she knew how broken she was and how much she might have needed her to be there to make sure nothing horrible happens. Jolene always felt like the oldest sister despite being the youngest. Jolene wanted to be with the rest of the family but she couldn’t get the thought out of her head that Mark was still out there somewhere, lurking and laying in wait. There was risk of him coming back here and taking Anna again, or even hurting Austin’s future babies. Jolene knew that prison had changed Mark for the worse and she hated to think of how he’d treated her sister (and his children) and she didn’t feel able to sit back and just let the fates decide.

Jolene had made the decision to track him and take out the revenge she once took out on their sick twisted bastard uncle.

Of course, having no idea that her sister’s alter had already taken care of the problem for her. Jolene did know her sister had problems and she wanted to be around to watch over her and make sure she stayed safe, but this was more important. So she’d packed her bags, sent a goodbye text to @jacqueline--bailey. She wished her luck and told her she would be alright. She also said she would see her again sometime but she had family stuff to deal with.

Then she stopped by @davis-ramsey‘s place and told him she had to go out of town and to look after Anna with everything he could. She said she’d stay in touch but she didn’t tell him she was planning to kill his brother - just in case he wasn’t on board.

She jumped in her car and left town, making for the last place Anna told her she and Mark had been, to start her mission.

“Oh, well that’s nice,” Elijah said with a smirk, “Being close to family and everything.” Not that Elijah was familiar with the concept of family, but he imagined that if he had actually had a good one he probably would have enjoyed being near them.

Jo nodded a little. “Yeah... I hadn’t seen my sister in a long time.”

Once she heard the knock the door, the brunette got up. She had told Lucas to stay at the reception and have fun. Moving over to the door, she let the blonde in. “Hey.” She moved aside, closing the door behind her. “I know how it looked but it’s complicated. And I hate that it is. But I can do my best to explain. Can I get you anything?”

Jolene figured that Jackie just needed someone to talk to about what went down. She wasn’t expecting the explanation to be anything more than what she thought and figured Jackie probably just didn’t want to be alone. She sent a text to Anna checking in on her and then got in the car and made her way to Jackie’s place, moving inside when she was allowed in, offering a small smile. “Hey... um.” Jo wasn’t sure how much more complicated it could be. “Sure, just... whatever you have is fine.”

Jo: That's good then.

Jo: It's.. fine. Just a bit surprising. You know after what you told me earlier.

Jackie moved out of the room that Lauren had been in and seen Jo right away. Nodding her head a little bit. “Guilty. Not much that I can do about it now though. She’s happy and that is all that matters.”

She smiled softly, nodding. She remembered when Brooke came out of her coma. “Well, sounds to me like you’re an awesome friend.” Putting her friend first and showing up and everything.

“Yeah, you know... nosey neighbours, murder, what’s not to like?” She joked dryly. “No, uh. I mean, it’s pretty okay all things considered.. my family ended up here so... here I am.” Jo chuckled.

“Not at all. Considering she is engaged to another woman.” She sighed a little bit. “I need a drink.”

“I’m sorry.... wanna come hit up the Green Dove?”

“I am dying for somewhere warm with a beach. I really would like to visit the Caribbean or Hawaii. Shamefully though, I am imaging that the furthest I get is to a hotel in London.” She almost laughed slightly, “–and I hate London. I have been to London so much lately, but I can’t think of anywhere better to go.” 

“That sounds like heaven.” She chuckled. “But I guess London isn’t so bad either.” Another laugh though, as she said she hated London. “Oh. Maybe Cardiff? Honestly, anywhere that‘s not here is probably better.” Though she supposed she didn’t technically have to stay.
