top tier: “Elementary” is better than “Sherlock” because not only does it not have the racism, sexism and queer-baiting from the BBC adaption, it actually shows how smart Sherlock Holmes is instead of just telling you that the detective can do the impossible. The overall portrayal of Sherlock is much more true and actually shows him as a person instead of some hero who does things off screen we just have to believe. Even though “Elementary” might be lower budget and may feel inferior to “Sherlock”, it’s overall the better show and definitely more enjoyable to watch

Golden Globes noms

Seeing the nominations for Jude, Ewan & even Angelina…it got me thinking. Why is there never any recognition for JLM in “Elementary”? I know he’s not into awards shows & shtupping for them, but it’d be nice to see him (and Lucy) get some acknowledgement. Although these days its very rare to see network shows nominated. JLM deserves better.

TVLine: Dexter’s Desmond Harrington Joins Elementary as Series Regular

Dexter vet Desmond Harrington will play Michael, an addict in recovery who once found the inspiration to stay sober from Sherlock. Michael now offers to return the favor and be an ongoing line of support to Sherlock, as the new season finds Holmes in a time of need.

When Season 5 ended, Sherlock was seen getting a brain scan after it was revealed to the audience that the woman he was interacting with was actually his deceased mother.

Elementary is slated to return with Season 6 in early 2018.

Yes. Because season long guest arcs have been working so well for this show. We have half a regular season and they are wasting it on another guest "star". So disappointing.

Things I would like to see in Elementary season 6:

1. An Elementary season 6.

2. The return of lazy day T-shirts and mismatched socks.

3. More smooth as silk, strictly platonic confessions of love… Such as: - “You, me, Angus! Some combination of the three. You already know I favor you.”  - “You put your hair up when you want to look your best. You think it’s more flattering. You’re wrong of course. It’s a draw.” - “I’m better with you Watson. I’m sharper, I’m more focused. Difficult to say why, exactly. Perhaps in time I’ll solve that as well.”

4. Clyde!

5. Marcus/Sherlock best bro brunches. 

6. A bit more of the way Sherlock looks at Joan when she calls him on his bs.

7. Jonny Lee Miller’s gorgeous dark hair.

8. A steady supply of sassy Captain Gregson one liners.

9. That big breaking point building up between Joan/Sherlock for 5 seasons now. Give us those emotional outbursts we’ve been waiting for!

10. A shorter but solid, well rounded season with a wide open ending that confirms a season 7 long before we even have time to panic again… 

Looking at you, CBS.
