When you are dating a guy in the military there is so much pressure to get married was quick as possible. WAIT until you both feel it’s right. It’s ok to “just be the girlfriend” if that’s the stage you are comfortable with right now. Yes it’s hard especially because in the eyes of the military you “don’t exist unless you are a spouse” but making sure you go into a marriage for the right reasons may just save you in the long run. There’s nothing wrong if you decide that it’s not meant to be. The most important thing is that you both are certain about the path you choose and are making the decisions based on what’s best for you two and not what other people are making you feel. No one needs to validate your relationship but you and your significant other. No matter what you may be lead to feel.
