i mean this with full straightforward sincerity and not as any kind of backhanded compliment. but i think the most inspiring thing about jojo's bizarre adventure as a collective body of work is that it serves as definitive proof that wholeheartedly committing to your own style, voice, and tastes results in something infinitely more impactful than making something straightforwardly "good".
Hello again! For your question about teachers, I could suggest: -Imposter Captain Tennille for Intro to Marine Biology could also work, as after all he is an capitan. Or rather assasin who pretends to be one. Eventually Mildler, as her fight took place underwater but that could be too big of a stretch. Though I must say I could picture Dr. Ferdinand working as someone who just constantly derails his lessons to talk about dinos. -Actually I think Bruford is a perfect choice, right after Polnareff for Fencing, no notes. -For Mafia Studies Polpo is great pick in my opinion, but for some extra options there could be Pericolo or Man X. Perhaps Leaky-Eye Luca too, yet he could be better as a cameo student, instead of a teacher. And for older question about Extra-Curricular Activities for sports maybe adding cross-country, as that something what Ermes did in story and baseball as that one sport that apears a bit in the series, but I don't have exact character who could attend that ^^;

A bit of a conundrum...
Alright, so I'm trying to figure out teacher cameos for the different classes and for a few of them, I'm drawing a blank. I'd love to hear some input from you all about these, to see whether I'm on the right track or if someone might have better idea that I haven't even thought of (highly likely!) so here goes!
For Intro to Marine Biology, the best I've been able to come up with is Dr. Ferdinand. Not exactly his specialty, but idk. (For sure, Jotaro would be the best choice for this, BUT I made a promise to myself not to have any of the romance candidates be in a professor role.)
For Fencing, the options I came up with were Anubis, Bruford, or Tarkus. (Again, trying not to have a romance option as the professor. Polnareff would be the best choice, but he's a romance choice.)
For Mafia Studies, either Abbacchio's police partner or Polpo were all that I could come up with.
What do you all think? Any ideas or opinions? Feel free to comment, reblog, dm me, or submit asks. I could really use the input!

I've always imagined JobrosVN to be a placeholder name for the VN itself, and now that I'm starting to do some drawings and planning out the opening scenes, it's got me wondering about the final VN name.
So, I'd like to ask you all for some feedback!
Considering that this is a university-setting JJBA dating sim VN that spans parts 1-6 and has 30+ characters with unique storylines, what do you think would be a good name? Here's what I've come up with so far, after brainstorming with friends. Feel free to offer your own suggestions, or let me know if there's more than one that you really like!

So far, Jojo's Bizarre Academy: Heart of Gold and The Over Heaven Anomaly are my favorites. I'm heavily leaning towards The Over Heaven Anomaly, considering the premise of the VN is essentially time-warping 6 parts to all coexist at once.
BUT! I wanted to ask you all for your opinions, because I want this to feel as much like your passion project as it is mine. I'm loving the feedback you've all been giving me so far!
Welp it seems pretty clear that my idea for "The Over Heaven Anomaly" wasn't very popular 🤣 but it's certainly been interesting watching "Speedwagon Scholars: University Days" and "Jojo's Bizarre Academy: Heart of Gold" going back and forth for first place these past few days! Even with 2 of my friends misclicking "see answers" instead of "Star-Crossed Scholars," the vote is still clearly between those top two.

Extra-Curricular Activities
Because it's college, there's usually sports and clubs!
Though all extracurricular activities are secondary to the main plotlines for each character, having extracurriculars gives a little more variety and adds interesting events to the school year. Whether that's by being on the teams, attending the events, or by avoiding them altogether, their choice adds a bit more depth to each character.
So far, I had the idea of doing some sport teams: Rugby, Boxing, and Fencing. Care to guess who's on those teams? ;)
Also, there's a neat potential for competitions in the more creative fields, too! Like for art, dancing, and fashion. Maybe even a debate team.
Does anyone have any other interesting ideas? Am I missing anything, or is there something else you'd like to see?
Hey, good to hear things go forward with the project! I think posting memes here should be fine, it would be nice to see some signs of activity from time to time, if there are not big updates to show. In terms of "spiciness levels" i think making three should be enough. Platonic, Modarate and NSFW. Just to not add more work, perhaps it would be something for future development after base game is done? And question releted to the game -If you plan to make platonic routs those that mean you can have few platonic relationships and one true romance, or you plan it in diffrent way? And do you plan to implement character birthdays or holidays in the plot? Actually that lead to other question - through what time period the story will take place?

As far as your questions go, when it comes to routes, I'm thinking of making it similar in structure to Joestar Struck, where you focus on one character per playthrough—though of course there will be interactions with others and cameos as well! First, you choose your class, then you choose your "focus" character and go from there. Of course, the endings will vary per character, with the typical good, neutral, and bad endings. I'm tempted to include character birthdays as an event, that would be a cute nod to canon lore. But I might lean away from holidays in favor of focusing on more character-related plot points and events(though I would die laughing seeing Pucci's reaction to Dio being blasphemous in a santa outfit).
As far as time period? I'm thinking spread out over the span of a full college year - complete with Spring Semester, Summer Break, and Fall Semester. As far as a specific year this all takes place in, uh. Let's call this an AU set in an equivalent to the early 2000's. A merging of the timelines, if you will ;)

Thank you for your patience, I know it's been quite a while since my last update. Like I mentioned in the latest Ask post, things have been a little hectic in my home life. I do have temperamental health that can get in the way of things sometimes, and my college classes have been draining me more than usual, of late. Not to mention taking care of 7 animals and a disabled partner on a daily basis, things can be quite... interesting. Needless to say, my life is never boring! 🤣
But please rest assured that I am making steady progress behind the scenes! Pronoun systems, spice levels, cameos, extra-curricular activities, and more will be showcased soon!

i'm just curious if you're planning any platonic endings/routes in this game! i like dating sims but i'm also ace/erotophobic so having characters flirt with me makes me cringe sometimes. joestar struck had a couple friendship endings which made me so happy, but you plan to have A Lot more characters so i understand if you'd rather just stick to 1-2 endings per character! either way i'm looking forward to it! good luck!!!!
Yes, I'm doing well now! Got sick for a few weeks and the catch up has been insane. I didn't realize it's been so long since I last posted, life got hectic between classes and health stuff. Woops! We also got a new cat (upping our total to 6 cats and 1 dog) so things have been a little crazy LOL.
But! Let me assure you that I'm still working on the VN. I just finished coding the pronoun system and working on some back end coding assets. I'll give an update on those soon, so stay tuned! ;)
As for your ask, I didn't initially plan on making platonic routes, but now that you mention it... It would be a great idea! And it would be rather simple for me to integrate, though it might make the routes a little shorter since it will skip romance dialogue. I'm already planning a system that I call the "spice level/meter" that adjusts what scenes and dialogue show up, so adding another level to it would be easy enough, and I was already thinking of having "neutral" routes that aren't bad endings or romantic ones, where you part ways as friends. I'd be glad to add platonic routes as a feature!
Here's what I'm thinking for "spiciness levels" so far:
Sweet = Platonic route, skips romance and NSFW scenes
Mild = Fluff romance, no NSFW text scenes or mature art
Moderate = Fluff romance, NSFW text scenes of before/after, keeps mature/suggestive art but skips explicit art
Medium-hot = Fluff romance, NSFW text scenes, keeps all art but blurs/censors explicit art
Spicy = All content unlocked, including uncensored explicit art
Do you think this might be too ambitious? I'd love to hear some feedback on this stuff. Will Stands be mentioned in any way?
To be entirely honest, adding Stands in might make this ambitious project way more difficult. I'm thinking they might be mentioned in passing, like how Hamon is mentioned for the classes, but the main focus of the VN and each storyline is the characters' personalities themselves, rather than their abilities.
But that's not to say I'm not open to any ideas or suggestions, either! ;)

So, looking at the results... There's a lot of interest in both options, clearly, so I'll make it so that the player has the choice in how to proceed; whether they choose to pursue one of them at a time or both of them at the same time.

Oh, there's certainly going to be a bit of angst ;)
Nothing outrageously heavy or darkfic style, but some of the characters have storylines that will have a bit of emotional turmoil in them, simply due to the nature of their personalities... or their interactions with others.
Can you imagine the sheer shenanigans that could happen if, say... Jonathan and Dio were roommates?
But of course, the endings will vary. No matter how angsty it gets in the middle of the story, the "good" endings will be sweet and end on a good, happy note.
After all... Every story needs a bit of conflict, right? Who's to say that some of the characters' conflict don't come from external sources?
