since he could walk, dallas’ life has revolved around athletics. with his father being a nhl retiree he raised his son to share his love of the game, and it’s from him that dallas developed a strong sense of commitment and perseverance.
dallas was raised in a big family, and has always realized the importance of a strong familail bond. he feels lucky to have grown up in a household with two parents. however, though he tries not to acknowledge it dallas harbors a deep-seeded resentment for his father after finding out about the affair he’s having on his mother. he feels like a coward for keeping his mouth shut, and these days just tries to stay away from home for fear of what he’ll tell his mom or do to his pops.
when he first started college he never took his classes more seriously than he had to, believing he was guaranteed a spot in next year’s nhl draft, and therefore his days on campus were limited.
however after suffering an acl injury at last year’s spring scrimmage he’s been benched and his plans to enter the draft would be put on hold for another year.
dallas’ recovery has been a long uphill battle with doctors telling him at the beginning that it was unlikely that he would be able to play at all in the upcoming season. in true dallas fashion however, he’s determined to be back on ice by the time they play their first game in the fall.
in an effort to cope with the intense emotional and physical stress he’s under he’s been abusing his prescribed pain medicine.
he had been attending anger management for two years after an incident with one of his coaches, however he stopped going after his injury.
