What a Day! The Final pitch is already ended.

We ensure that all data we put in our PPT is accurate and legitimate. We put all our efforts into this so we can at least join in the pitch competition but sadly our team did not choose to participate. The good thing is that when I pitch, I am confident enough to defend our application and the flow of my presentation was smooth. After that, our instructor did not ask any questions based on our PPT.

Based on our calculation, we get the data on how we can earn profit and how much we need from the investors. From interviews, process, and validation, we are fully prepared for this and hope for a good grade in this subject.

We the PitNav team are hard-working and competitive. be a good member and a leader so you can achieve what you deserve.

PROCESS FOR FINAL PITCH

WEEK 10 - INSIGHT

It is good now because our UI/UX interview is already validated. Therefore, we can proceed directly with the final pitch. Yet, we still gathered more information for this part. We highly encourage those people who own a vehicle that maybe if we can deploy this application, they will use it and spread it to everyone that there is something like this that you can use in your daily trip, unlike Google map that is you can’t locate most of the shops.

Additionally, we already have a lot of information from our interviews but we are still not yet satisfied with it. Therefore, we still gather another 2-days to interview some users to create data to make it valid when we do the final pitch.

We’re almost there for the final for this semester. I hope all the hard work will pay off. We all pass and proceed to the next semester. Lastly, You have to learn what you did right now for you to grow up and make your life better in the future.

Validation interview- UI/UX

WEEK 9 - INSIGHT

Last week, we validate our UI and it is ready to go to interview for the users. Luckily, my team works on our application and we follow up with the users for our last validation. They all agree to interview again and give us some advice on how to be wise as a person and as a business entrepreneur. We also ask them about how our application works. They easily understand the explanation and they try it on their own.

PitNav application is a user-friendly. It is useful for all people who has vehicles and shops. But it is limited only in Cagayan de Oro City since we don’t have enough time to interview those shop who are too far from the City. Therefore, we only focus nearby the City. Probably, if we can get an investor in the future then we can broad our scope.

Lastly, I learned from one of our users that it’s okay to rest, but don’t give up. Look for a person who you can trust, rely on, and work with as a team. Don't be too greedy with everything because you could lose it all in an instant.

Validation - UI/UX

WEEK 8 - INSIGHT

- The process

Sometimes, putting too much effort makes you feel down. Don’t try too hard and enjoy what you have and what you are trying to pursue. We can still reach the finish line.

It’s been 2 weeks of December since our instructor did not contact us so I decided to go to his office and ask about our UI/UX. I already told my group mates what we are going to do but unfortunately, we are lack of time, I cannot reach them through messenger and I don’t have the courage to interview it on my own so I decided not to do it then.

Secondly, it’s been hectic of schedules since it was December and we can’t ask some enough time to interview the managers or the shop owners. Though, we did manage to ask one user but he decline since he is not familiar about the said application.

Well, I just summarized what I remember last year December 2022. So what I am trying to say is that don’t push too hard if you think it is not the right time to do it. Be patient and think of any ways or make a plan B for your decisions. Our plan B is to gather more ideas on how to improve our UI/UX and practice how to interview them so that they can understand us. Lastly, wait for the right time, and it will come to you.

CREATING UI/UX

WEEK 7 - INSIGHTS

To be honest, I'm not good when it comes to design and I hate editing. Luckily, we have a member who do the job and he know what he is going to do. We are the one who create user flow and he, as the hipster of our group, who put all the time and efforts creating the UI/UX design.

Moreover, We will conduct another interview and present our application to them. We will then be able to tell if they truly intend to agree using it or not. We need an interviewee who can give us some ideas and suggestions on how we are going to make our application better.

Lastly, I have to analyze what I and my members good at so we can divide the works. Each of us has weaknesses and strengths and helping each other is important. That's how teamwork works, and I do believe that each of us will learn this hard work in the future.

Pitch Deck - SEMI-FINAL

WEEK 6 - INSIGHT

Doing what’s best for your grades? You must accomplish it.

My team and I collected additional data for our project proposal. Despite having a long day, we managed to finish visiting the businesses and clients who fall under the purview of our proposal. We noticed that every driver has a problem regarding with this “cannot trace auto/moto shop. So we inquired about our suggested application, and they agreed to use it. Additionally, they offer suggestions for how we can make this application better and ensure that it works. Moreover, as we interview the Manager of GoodYear Mrs. Emmilyn Labiewa, she says that our proposal is quite interesting and they can ask her boss if we can make a partnership in the future.

During the process of our proposal, we struggle how to manage our time since the instructor only gave us a maximum of 5 minutes. We practiced before the pitch and luckily, we got it and Sir don’t have any words of our speech, means we are approved. We followed what inside in the criteria so I don’t have any concern about it. Hopefully we get an A+ grades for the midterm.

Every one of us has the potential to make our own solution of every problem we encounter right now. We just need more research, data, and the ability to pursue and know why we are doing this. Unfortunately, we still lack information and are still doing our best to accomplish what we started.

Validation - Proposed Topic

WEEK 5 - INSIGHT

The vulcanizing shop is a classic example of Filipino business. I want to innovate it and help them gain more customers at the same time earn money from them. We are talking about business, you have to make an idea of how to help your community and also, how to grow as a person. The more you have knowledge and experience, businessmen will go see you.

We are moving now to the next step which is how the user will apply our system. We are not yet finished with this but we are still fighting and keep going. My groupmates work harder on this proposal and we are responsible for each task that was given to us.

Lastly, after a long time of interviews and surveys, people rejected us but still, we did not give up. Our future grades depend on it. The proposed topic which is Vulcanizing was already validated.

The Problem of Driver

WEEK 4 - INSIGHT

We are focusing now on one idea out of 3 which is the Vulcanizing shop. It was still not implemented here in Cagayan de Oro; I hope it will accept our proposed idea. The problem of our topic is maybe lack of income and users, but we are still going to propose it because we like the idea and this was the problem of every user that has vehicles. They need this to locate where the shop is and to help them on repairing their vehicles.

Luckily, we found out how to gain profit at the same time, the shop owners will increase their sales. It is very important to research more to gain information and how to make it possible. We want to build this kind of startup because this is what people need these days. I want to know their problems so maybe we can help them for their own good.

We are still focusing on our community, Cagayan de Oro is an average place to implement this kind of application, not just a big and small city. A lot of Barangays and different routes and we are going to make sure that everyone can use our application.

Build a Good Relationship with your Groupmates

WEEK 3 - INSIGHT

We have three problems in our group that we have to fix. The first one is cooperation, that is what we need in our group. I am not the leader but I am part of the group and I have to do something as a member so that we won’t fail. We have to brainstorm and research more about why this project we are going to propose.

The second is absent-minded, every time one of my members left or was absent in our group discussion, we felt tired and we don’t want to do anything. Nevertheless, you have to be positive and not mad at them because the moment you do that, it will ruin the group. You have to stay calm and focus on what to do next, take a nap if you feel sleepy, and continue the discussion.

Lastly is communication, we are practicing how to socialize by doing it first in our group and trying it afterward with the other people. We did our best to interact with them because, in the future, we can use it to help us build our communication skills when we apply for the job.

We are still working on the questions that we are using for the interview. This time, it is the update for the follow-up questions to the last week’s interview. It takes a lot of time to finish this proposal. It is not a hindrance not doing the work therefore, you have to keep in mind that you have a purpose. It is a good start for our group and the people who can benefit. We will cherish this moment to build a relationship with anyone.

Realization - STARTUP

WEEK 2 - INSIGHTS

Last week's discussion with our instructor taught us how we are going to make our project, 3 ideas, and interact with other people, we have to interview at least 7 people. Do brainstorming, come up with more ideas, and present it to him.

At first, we don’t have questions in mind about how we are going to interview. We mistook questions and still, we continue to do it. Later on, we realize that we have to brainstorm on how we are going to make questions so that the people we are going to interview can answer and they can think of some ideas in their minds. Even if they are busy, they still cooperate and agreed to interview and we gathered more ideas from them.

I started to analyze and understand who are these people and how we are going to come up with new ideas. It took a lot of time and effort to make a business and we should not give up, let us focus on our mission and you have to listen to the people around you and talk to your members because that’s what teamwork is. You have to make sure that you have a purpose for why you are doing it, not just to pass your course but it can also to help your community.

Perspective in life

WEEK 1 - INSIGHT

I read what personality I am and it says that the protagonist is a good leader. Thoughtful and idealistic, it aspires to have a positive impact on others and the world around them. They feel called to fulfill a higher purpose in life. Even when it is extremely difficult to do the right thing, they rarely hesitate to do it.

Moreover, my personal innovation mindset level is currently 69 out of 100. I rarely trust other people; I have multiple traumas in it. Therefore, I can still change my mindset level because I believe that no matter what you are doing in life, you can achieve it. Also, making a lot of mistakes will lead you into victory.

Lastly, even if they don't think I'm as good as they claim, I can handle their criticism. Despite my lack of intelligence, I am capable of a lot. Build strong bonds with your other group members if you want to succeed in life.
