A few things I learned being a more, idk, intentional writer:

Don't rush and don't deprive yourself the human experience for the sake of publishing 'on time'

Your validity doesn't lie in your word count. It exists because you exist. No more, that is it.

Maximizing your output diminishes your quality.

Multiple chapters can be condensed into a single scene and that's perfectly ok.

Who cares if you have to take a break. Do what you need to do to allow yourself to enjoy the craft of creation. And if that means not opening a doc for weeks, so be it.

Read. Doesn't have to be fanfic, just read.
