I Am But A Withered Flower (IABAWF):
Humans have long lived with unruly gardens. ‘Vampires’ (as called by humans) ,each identified by their birth flower, exist as the sentience of nature.
These vampires drink human blood, though they can feed on each others. Vampire blood, however, is not as filling. More like having a snack in comparison to a feast.
These creatures can all only be killed by silver, yet each individual species has a weakness unique to it as well within specialised poisons. Except Chiroptera. They cannot be killed by poison, though it severely weaken them if the correct substance is used.
vampire hunters have conveniently grouped these vampires into seven kinds. Each species being identified by the colour of their birth flowers, and the hue of their blood.
Arachnid (red): These vampires are identified by their red hue and spider themed design. They often dress like those classic movie vampires with the big coats and all, adopting a more old-fashioned style. They are known for stringing their victims in large webs, before draining their blood, and dropping the corpses from the net once finished. They can create webs, and stick to surfaces, whilst often having multiple arms and eyes.
Canine (orange): glorified werewolves. These vampires are identified by their orange hue and dog themed design. They usually have a tail and ears, and sharp wolfish teeth. Very territorial, loyal, and diligent. They often travel in packs, and hunt in packs, feasting on humans like wild animals.
Ovis (yellow): These vampires are identified by their yellow hue and sheep themed design. So lucky it’s actually crazy. They are known for their generosity, and sheepish nature. They have horns, and often wear large fluffy, comfortable clothing. They share blood between them, and offer their own between each other, despite its meagre sustenance. They get along well with cervidae. Generally peaceful, but they still get slain on occasion. They are often used to train new vampire hunters.
Cervidae (green): These vampires are identified by their green hue and deer themed design. They have antlers and hooves, and are well known for their kindness. They have incredibly strong legs, and are closer with plants to any other species. Similar to ovis, they often also share blood, and are usually pacifistic in nature. They get along well with ovis. Generally peaceful, but not considered weak in any regard. Don’t anger them.
Aquatis/Siren (blue): These vampires are identified by their blue hue and fish themed design. They are named after underwater plants, and have fish tails and gills. They are called aquatis, but humans call them ‘sirens’. They are known for their patience, and ruthlessness when feeding on humans, often leaving red tinted waters to mark their kill. Some have legs and a tail that allow them to traverse both water and land, due to their birth flower being on land and not a sea plant.
Chiroptera (violet): These vampires are identified by their violet hue and bat themed design. They often dress in gothic or emo styles, and have bat wings and ears. They can see in the dark, or even with their eyes closed using echolocation. They are known to be poisonous, their fangs secreting a paralysing venom that they can consciously control the fatality of. They are well versed in poisons, but this skill can be utilised in healing as well. They are immune to poison, obviously.
Angelic (pink): These vampires are identified by their pink hue and angel themed design. They don’t actually have angel wings, though they have markings of them on their back, and can float. The typical human ideas of romance novel vampires stem from this kind, as well as succubi/incubi. They are known for seducing humans and drinking their blood, though they rarely kill them. That doesn’t mean they won’t kill though, in fact they quite enjoy it. Similar to Chiroptera, they can also consciously secret a type of venom, however it’s more aphrodisiacal in nature.
Kie Niwashi is a rookie vampire hunter who has only killed a couple vampires on joint missions. And no, he didn’t do much. Upon meeting an eccentric vampire he was tasked to slay, he realises he doesn’t really have a life outside of being a vampire hunter. Huh.
Sakura is an angelic vampire who feels dissatisfied with life. After repeating the same cycle of feeding off drunk humans, or one night stands, he grows bored of lacking a direction in life. Upon meeting an inexperienced vampire hunter who caught him red handed (puns!), he becomes incredibly interested in the human.
yes, this is a bl. What did you expect, honestly? Don’t worry though, we’ve got yuri too.
