Youāll be alright. Weāre together now. Everythingās going to be fine, youāll see. Beauty and the Beast (1991) dir. Gary Trousdale, Kirk Wise
High Maintenanceā¢ļø heroes
I just donāt want to have these feelings. I donāt want this life. Let it end.
Worthless.
I hate you for making me question myself. I hate you for not loving me. I hate you so much for leaving me broken. I got excited this whole week, just to be proven once again i am not wanted. You donāt fucking want me and idk how Iām supposed to move on in life being unwanted. I hate this. I wish I broke up with you last year. It wouldāve made things easier. I also wish you would take me back. I canāt love myself so i hate the need for someone to love me. Itās honestly ridiculous and stupid. I hate the position youāve put me in. I hate that I love you.
You push me closer and closer to death.
my ending ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Brienne faces the difficult decision of joining the Kingsguard as Lord Commander, or returning to the north with Sansa as a member of her queensguard.
Why wouldnāt she go back north with Sansa? Why would she take up Lord Commander, a reminder of Jaimeās old title and being reminded of Jaime at every turn after he left her?
Because heās alive. After being unconscious for who knows how long, he dragged himself out of the rubble of the ceiling. He left his hand behind and his dead sister, and snuck out at night.
Since then, he stayed in Kings Landing. Without his hand to give him away, he stayed on the down low and found a place to stay and recover. Tyrion, of course, found out his body went missing and eventually found Jaime. Tyrion promised to keep Jaimeās survival a secret.
Brienne walked through the streets of Kingās Landing as the city rebuilt itself. Her mind swam - she didnāt know what to do. Distracted, she bumps into a civilian on the street. The civilian wobbles and begins to fall, but she grabs them by the shoulder and keeps them upright. Brienne freezes. Sullen faced, dirty, and older than heās ever looked stood Jaime, staring at her with the same green eyes.
Ofc, she spends a good hour yelling at him, crying, and even slapped him for good measure. They talk for hours and he apologizes for everything and confesses he didnāt love Cersei - but he felt responsible for her and wanted to protect her, which is why he left.
Brienne tells him sheās been offered the position of Lord Commander, and he encourages her to take the position. He tells her there was no one more suited for the position - not even him. She could fill the book with more great deeds than anyone before her.
Brienne stays. She stays in kings landing as Lord Commander and fills out Jaimeās page in the book - all his great deeds. She still loves him, she realizes, and she forgives him.
She stays in kings landing with him, and they visit with each other in secret. Tyrion of course knows and keeps their secret. Bran likely knows too, but he has no issue.
Brienne doesnāt break her vows and her and Jaime never marry, but they remain companions and love each other.
Anywho. Thatās my ending. Itās a little scrambled and rushed because Iām tired and sad, but it makes me happy and makes sense to me :ā) I want them both happy with each other. Maybe Iāll write an actual one shot about this, who knows!
Drogon
Last episode spoiler heavy
So, my own personal belief had always been that when Drogo died and Daenerys walked into his pyre holding the dragon eggs, that Drogo was reincarnated as Drogon.
Drogon being Daenerysā favorite, the biggest dragon, the strongest all kind of lined up with it really being Drogo. Especially being the hardest to train, the wildest one of her three dragons.
In the end, when Daenerys died and Drogon saw her body, he melted down the Iron Throne, angry with it, almost as if saying āwell if she canāt have it no one canā and then he took her body and flew away.
When it was said Drogon was spotted flying East, it only made me think of one thing. The Dothroki sea is in the East. Drogo(n) had already brought Daenerys back there once before. Itās where they started, where they met, where they married.Ā
Drogo brought his khaleesi home.
The finale of Game of Thrones
So thatās it. The leaks were correct so Iām not really surprised but at the same time⦠I am. I think till the last moment I hoped that something will be different. But no⦠and one word I have for this⦠disappointment. Iām disappointed.
Letās do this.
1. Iām happy they didnāt make Tyrion finding Jaimeās hand at the ground level. Iām happy he actually was looking for them inside the Keep. And the revelation was good. It was a good, emotional scene. It had to happen and Tyrionās reaction was exactly the way it should be.
2. Shot of Dany and Drogonās wings behind her - amazing. But also tragic. For us it was a great shot, but it was meant to be terrifying. A way of showing us sheās no longer human, but a dragon, a monster.
3. What they did to her is⦠I thought making her a Mad Queen was bad enough. But this episode they made her a lunatic, a fanatic. Donāt you think after what sheās done wouldnāt she be⦠terrified? Scared of what sheās capable of? I think she would. But no⦠they couldnāt make her like that. They had to make her a fanatic. Someone who said last season āI donāt believe in myths and legends. I believe in myselfā suddenly was all about prophecies and what is meant to be. She was never that person. Daenerys, who imprisoned her own dragons because one of them killed an innocent child wouldnāt stay proud and say death was a liberation for all those innocents.
4. Tyrion and his fucking manipulation. How dare he use Danyās accomplishments against her. That was a āfuck youā from writers to us - Dany stans. It was ālook, she did all those things you and her considered good, but that was just a path to madnessā. He manipulated Jon into killing her. He used his love to his family to kill Daenerys.
5. And donāt even get me started with how they all used Jon from the beginning. All this time all of them were saying heās the rightful king. He should rule. Heās better. And at the end, when they used him enough, they threw him away. Like a piece of garbage. They used him to get rid of Daenerys. And you want to tell me that was the reason the Lord of Light brought him back? To put him through misery and made him kill the love of his life? Because if he brought him back to get rid of the Night King, Jon shouldāve died after the battle.
6. Daenerysā death. I knew itāll happen. Not because I read the leaks. But because the way they were writing the last episodes it was quite obvious thereās no other way for her. But the way it happened⦠I think I lost it when Jon was talking to Tyrion, I knew her death was inevitable. And from that moment I started crying. Iām mad Jon kissed her. She was close enough, if he wanted to kill her he shouldāve just do it. And yet he tricked her. In the worst way possible a man can trick a woman whoās in love with him. She didnāt deserve to die like this. She didnāt deserve to die at all, she didnāt deserve to be portrayed like this. And Jon had to watch another woman he loved die in his arms, but this time she died because of him. I know he suffered, I know he probably hates himself. Like he said later āI doesnāt feel rightā. No, Jon, it doesnāt, because itās not.
7. Drogon not attacking Jon⦠that is controversial, but I will accept it. Jon is a Targaryen, a blood of a dragon after all. Drogon killed the one thing that was actually the enemy from the beginning- the Iron Throne. And Iām happy with it. Dragons are intelligent, Drogon then knew that the hunger of power destroyed his mother and that really killed her. Also Drogon checking in on her was⦠heartbreaking. Heās huge and terrifying but then he looked like a little kid, a small, vulnerable puppy who doesnāt really understand whatās going on. What I donāt understand is the Unsullied not killing Jon. What was the point for them to keep him alive? Because he loved Daenerys? Bullshit, that reason could work on Drogon, but the Unsullied stopped caring about that things. Because he probably surrendered? No. The Lannisters army surrendered and they still killed every one of them. So I donāt see any logical reason. I would like an explanation without āWe kinda forgotā¦ā
8. Tyrionās trial. Like what the fuck? So Daenerys died and the Unsullied decided they gonna control Kings Landing? And everyone just agreed with that? They still wanted a trial for Tyrion and Jon? What was the point? They didnāt hesitate to kill innocents yet they decided both Jon and Tyrion should have a trial? And they thought summoning every lord that was really okay with Danyās death was a good decision? If they wanted justice for them they should kill them, because it was obvious all the lords will find the way to not only keep them both alive but also somehow free. The Unsullied shouldāve just leave the moment Dany died. Drogon left them, they couldnāt win.
9. And Tyrion. Fucking Tyrion. Everything happened because of him. He told Varys the truth, then told Daenerys about Varys and yet was surprised she killed him. He manipulated Jon into killing Dany. And after that Jon was send to the Wall, while Tyrion walked out free and in power once again.
10. Okay now itās time to talk about the biggest WTF ever - Bran the fucking Broken. The king. Why? How? He wonāt be feared, he wonāt be loved, he wonāt inspire the people. No⦠because heās a fucking talking tree! What was the point of him telling he canāt be a lord?! Not āI donāt want itā, that was Jonās line. He said āI CANāT BE A LORDā. Because he shouldnāt be in a position of power. Heās a memory, someone who shouldnāt interfere in a matters of men. He helped with the Night King because he was a threat to humanity. Why they think heās gonna be a good king? They think heāll tell them everything? He wonāt. He knew how this gonna end, he didnāt tell Daenerys anything. He didnāt tell Jon anything. Because it wasnāt his matter. Because he observes, remembers. If there gonna be a war sometime, he wonāt do anything to prevent it. Oh and one more thing⦠his the most powerful when heās near the Weirwood tree. Uhh⦠excuse me⦠where are Weirwood trees in the South? There are none! The Old Gods hold no power in the South! So Bran should be basically even more useless!
11. Sansa and her independent kingdom. I get it. The North deserve it. But so the Iron Islands, so the Vale, the Riverlands and every other kingdom. Yara was promised to be a queen of the Iron Islands and they supposed to be independent as well. Why she didnāt say anything? If Sansa has a right to demand, so does everyone else. Doesnāt make sense. Again.
12. Can we look at the counsel? Like⦠all men obviously. But what Bronn is doing there? Heās a joke. He got his castle and should get the fuck out. He doesnāt deserve to be the master of coins. Gendry deserves it more, Edmure deserves it more, everyone else deserves it more.
13. āThe Song of Ice and Fireā. What a joke. How dare they? To use this title. They should never. āGame of Thronesā was more fitting for the story we were told.
14. Jon gave his boy a pet. Well⦠for what cost. Ehhā¦
15. Am I the only disappointed with the fact we donāt know where Drogon took Daenerys? I would like to see it. If it was the Old Valyria, the Grass Sea, Meereen? Give these two a respectful ending, a closure.
16. Oh and for everyone who thinks Starks get the happy ending⦠they didnāt, ok? āThe lone wolf dies, but the pack survivesā. They are all alone, scattered around the world. Ned wouldnāt be happy for their kids to end up like that. Itās not a happy ending.
I donāt know what else to say now. Iām still traumatized honestly. Iām still grieving. Maybe I should burn some cities? Iāll probably say something else later. But for now⦠Iām just disappointed. Not because I didnāt get the ending I wanted. Iām disappointed because if we consider all seasons this ending doesnāt make sense, itās not believable and seems more like a bad dream. Iām honestly too tired to get more angry⦠so yeah, ādisappointmentā is the best word to describe that.
Write Me a Letter || Gendrya
The first raven arrived at Stormās End before he could return from Kings Landing. Intimidated enough by the grim Maester Jurne who had yet to decide whether he was worthy of the Baratheon name, Gendry swallowed nervously as a scroll was hurriedly delivered to his hand. One of the last lessons Davos had tried to impart was the importance of learning his letters, though he hadnāt the time to take in the message with confidence. āWhat does it say?ā he asked, hoping the maester wouldnāt think less of him.
Against all expectation, the corners of Jurneās mouth tilted up. āLady Arya Stark of Winterfell sends her regards, milord.ā
āSheās not a lady.ā The answer rolled off his lips without permission, and Gendry could only imagine the lovesick look on his face for it. His hands balled into fists at his side before spreading wide over his hips in exasperation. Barely a word spared before the Council that put Bran on the throne, but she can mock him with a note he couldnāt properly read for himself. āTell me, please.ā
Nodding, the maester opens the scroll, thumb pointing to a letter he knows. A. Gendry greedily memorized the letters following, certain it must be her signature. Arya. āA ship bearing her houseās sigil sails west. She asks permission to write during her travels, promising tales of adventures while you build up the keep to its former glory.ā
Gendry opens his mouth, only to shut it. Since when does Arya bloody ask permission for anything? His instinct was to demand she appear in person to share such tales, but she had already turned down a far kinder offer. Stubborn bull, he could hear already, if she bothered to respond at all. Clearing his suddenly tight throat, he knows it does nothing to hide the pained croak in his voice. āDoes she say anything else?ā
āThat she intends to explore the world until itās no longer a mystery to her.ā Jurne paused, as though considering the wisdom of saying more. āAnd that sheās yet to see the Stormlands, milord.ā
With a deep breath that lifted his entire broad chest, Gendry felt lightheaded. Licking his lips, he struggled to focus his brain on more than the hope all but choking his stupid, stupid heart. āPlease write her back,ā he finally said, wishing he could do so himself, to know sheād read words he wrote only for her. āTell her I eagerly await news, and House Stark is always welcome in Stormās End. Bid her safe travels, and-ā He broke off, fully aware of the curious eyes parsing his halting response. āLet her know the forge is available for special request, should she need any armaments.ā
Jurne bowed. āI will send it off at once, milord.ā
āAnd,ā Gendry hurried to add, āif weāre going to be trading letters, I should very much like to be able to take them privately in the future. Perhaps you could help me learnā¦so as not to bother you, of course.ā
Smile curling, the maester gave a solemn nod. āBut of course, milord. Iād hate to intrude.ā
As the old man left, surely laughing at him, Gendry looked back down at the scrap of paper and the precious ink traced over it. She wrote to him, wanted to write more. It wasnāt the resounding agreement to be his lady heād sought in Winterfell, but it was more than the bare acknowledgement of their meeting in Kingās Landing. With Arya, he figured, they were both too stubborn to get all they wanted from each other. So, heād take what he could get and live his life in the meanwhile. Perhaps with time and negotiation of their roles in the world, they would come to a more satisfying balance.
He stretched the paper wide, eyes drawn once more to the script at the bottom. Arya.
Me: Drogon burned the throne because it was the physical manifestation of everything that drove his mom to madness and got her killed.
Also me: the silly boy thought a bunch of swords literally attacked his mother.
What should have happened, Take 1

Davos: *buries blood stain under ashes* Our Queen is flying off to break some more wheels in the next place that needs liberating. We are to rule in her stead.

Daenerys Targaryen deserved better Emilia Clarke deserved better George R. R. Martin deserved better we all deserved better
Iām telling myself Drogon flew Dany back to Essos where the red priestesses are and they bring her back to life, she ends up being pregnant with Jonās baby, has the baby, Jon travels to Essos finds her and they become a family and live happily ever after.
