Thanks for the confirmation that I didn’t read the runes in LoT wrongly. I’m a bit rusty with them.
I guess at least the show is kinda-sorta entertaining without being too serious.

Guys, is is just me, or do the runes make no sense?
Legends of Tomorrow: Necromancing the Stone Spell to travel to Mallus’s realm.
“Mallus Aken, Ka, Ren, Ba, Ib, Sheut. Mallus Aken Ma'at.”
[Adapted from NBC Constantine 1x11: A Whole World Out There]
-
Credit to @thehallofjudgment for the original translation:
The incantation you have (the Astral Travel one) is purely phonetic, how the words should be pronounced. The best way I can think of it is this:
Duat Aken, Ka, Ren, Ba, Ib, Sheut, Duat Aken Ma'at.
Duat - a metaphysical Spirit World, where everything connnected to Egyptian magic and afterlife seems to occur. It contains the Egyptian paradise (Aaru).
Aken - as mentioned before, the ferryman of the dead (compare with Greek Charon).
Ka, Ren, Ba, Ib, and Sheut - five parts of a human soul, according to the Ancient Egyptians. “Ka” is the spark of life, the only part that distinguishes the living from the dead. “Ren” is the name, the essence of a living being. “Ba” is personality, what makes the person unique. “Ib” is the heart, the sum of good and bad deeds (A person’s Ib is later judged by Osiris, to see if they’re worthy of paradise). Finally, “Sheut” is the shadow - an imprint of the person in both the physical world and Duat. If nothing else, I’d compare it to a failsafe program - a small piece of the soul is hidden inside the shadow.
Ma'at is both an Egyptian goddess of order, as well as the concept of balance and harmony itself.
When all of those elements are put together, we may conclude that this spell is a prayer to Akem the Ferryman, to guide the person (all five parts of them) through Duat safely (“with Ma'at”)
Constantine 1x06: Rage of Caliban.
Constantine’s mirror spell.
(If anyone happens to have a transcription of the entire command/spell used, please let me know. Thank you)
there is a traduction in the spanish dub of the series (latino dub):
“no habrá ningún daño hacia a mi, lo que me envies regresara a ti”
in english
“There will be no harm to me, what you send me will come back to you”
But I dont know if that is a correct translation to spanish.
Btw I cant even hear what he said or the language that he use, sorry
Thank you, @amagicianofthesouthend. That’s a helpful translated meaning. I’ll get to updating it.
Coming out of hiatus a bit to share these two screen captures from Legends of Tomorrow 3x14, leading up to Constantine’s next appearance in 3x15.
The manuscript page is supposedly one that Constantine has, which he passed on to the Legends, and I guess the 2nd screen capture shows the translation of text in the boxed area.
I can’t figure out the runes used. They seem a mix of the Elder/Younger Futhark and something else, but I’m not sure if the rest are made up or from some other sources.

Hey Hellblazers, this just in.
(After so long, I’m wary of getting my hopes up, but for once, it seems like a strong indicator of it really happening)
prometheanmind reblogged your post and added:
Sexually-explicit?! And they were serious?!
They were, @prometheanmind. I know, right? -_-

I had that happen to me too a few days ago. Someone saw the word "hardcore" in the description of one of my videos and I guess they reported it without context. Hardcore in this case meant harsher music not sex lol. Some folks just like to be trigger happy I guess. Good to hear you got it straightened out.
Yep. That sounds incredibly trigger-happy indeed. Some people on this site are really weird, I swear. I’ve had messages telling me I was a Satanist and stuff like that and I was all, “If you say so.” I have respect for people’s beliefs but I didn’t think that person meant that as a compliment to me or them.
Happy to fix it for you all.
Hey everyone, I’m not sure who or why, but someone reported one of the videos as containing sexually-explicit content and I received a notification of a violation because of it.
Specifically, it’s the one from Constantine 1x04: A Feast of Friends, where Constantine hypnotized a security guard to dance.
In the grand scheme of this blog, it’s a minor thing/video, so I’d like your opinion as to whether you want it back.
Okay. Appeal approved and I think the video is back. Thanks for your opinions, those who gave it.

Ever since Constantine was cancelled fans of the show, Hellblazers as they are known, have wanted a DVD of the series. Constantine, a dark, supernatural series that aired Friday nights, based on the popular DC comic Hellblazer, was cancelled after only one season by the NBC network. (Efforts are still...
