Ground Breaking new Roastery and Coffee shop China
British design company, John Barnett Design has been working with Siberian based business Travelers Coffee for the last two years creating unique and original designs for the brand.
The outlets are in unique locations in major cities from Moscow to Siberia and use five new original designs that have been specifically created to appeal to different markets and cultures.
Travelers Coffee exclusively targets spaces that traditionally have not been considered by the competition so that it can expand rapidly. Designs have been created from offices, banks and even residential apartments.
John is one of a select number of British interior designers working in Russia raising the profile of British design through innovative creative work.
Coffee culture outside Moscow is in its infancy so the designs are not just attractive contemporary environments but educate customers about coffee and its culture through a bean to cup ‘experience’.
In addition, John Barnett Design has created a vast two-floor 170 seat coffee shop and roastery in the commercial center of Ningbo, China. Opening in September, it will be first of its kind and bring western coffee culture to the country.
This shop will break with traditional coffee shop design and will bring ground breaking urban, British design to the restaurant scene in China.
There will be a double height bar rising through an atrium between the floors, a shop, exhibition space as well as a working roastery to educate, inspire and entertain.

My latest residential project is nearing completion, expanding the footprint of lovely house in West London into a super glamorous and expansive family home. The house has been extended by 7 metres at the rear with a wonderful new skylight and over 15 metres of bi-folding doors to open onto a beautiful new landscaped patio and gardens.
We are on the final few weeks of the build before we start to complete the furnishing and dressing of the house to make it a home fit for House and Garden!
I've been working on the interior design of a beautiful cliff top house on the coast of England exploring styles and ideas with the client to  establish the creative direction for the project.Â
Our new project in China started on site today. It will be a huge 170 seat two floor Coffee Shop, Restaurant and Roastery with a retail shop and wonderful summer terrace.
This will be be our second project in Ningbo in China which is currently experiencing huge growth. Our design will provide an exciting and extremely unique addition to the restaurant scene in the city.
We have been creating some super cool brand images for Travelers Coffee in Shoreditch. Using our team of highly talented photographers and stylists we have created a library of images of coffee craft, food, coffees and drinks that will be used throughout the business from menu, marketing, promotions, online through to a brand movie.
