magnus has obviously made all the wrong decisions about it but man, imagine failing to protect your brother you loved and watching him die, and never being able to be with the guy you loved (who also loved your brother and not you and it's hard to share that grief) all in one fell swoop and having absolutely no way to acceptably deal with that because of who and what you are. :( their shared love for brevis could have brought them together but it just made it worse

Magnus and the Consequences of Unprocessed Trauma and Grief

As you may have guessed from the title, my opinion on Magnus as a character is that he is an example of what can happen when one does not process trauma (and grief) in a healthy manner. Additionally, I think he’s intended as a warning against allowing said grief and trauma to consume you utterly. Let’s try and pick this motherfucker’s brain, shall we?
