not specifically, but a really good staple text for medical anthropology if you’re interested in the culture of health and medicine globally, is The Spirit Catches You And You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman. It follows a Hmong family treating their daughter for epilepsy in America and how radically different epilepsy is treated in the west vs in Mongolia, where it was seen as something of a spiritual blessing. It’s a bit dated but really interesting and a good start to grasping how cultural western medicine really is
