Johnny Rao Italian contemporary artist based in Switzerland. My work moves between abstraction, texture, urban observation and emotional disconnection. Through paintings, videos, photography and performative fragments, I explore human presence in everyday spaces. My ongoing project Disconnection Tour documents modern distraction, fragmented attention and the silent isolation hidden inside ordinary life — stations, streets, supermarkets, movements, anonymous faces. Self-taught and independent, I create instinctively, transforming personal perception into visual language. Art for me is not decoration. It is a way of observing existence. “What Remains Unsaid” is a work by artist Johnny Rao.

Created with plaster and acrylic on canvas, the piece explores silence, perception, and suspended presence.

Rather than guiding the viewer toward a fixed image, the surface becomes a quiet threshold between what is visible and what is felt.

What remains is minimal, fragile, and deeply perceptual — a space between presence and absence.
