I wonder if she reading

so I use these blogs as kind of a stress reliever and a way to vent out my frustrations. they have actually been very useful to me and therapeutic. But a random thought popped into my head today as I was wondering what will I blog about tonight. I wonder if you actually read these blogs and how do you grade them. I image you would basically skim these blogs and see if students just wrote at least a paragraph. Not interesting really happened to me this weekend other than I thought I lost my external USB cable so ran to Walmart all the way from my house which is a 2-mile hike, only to return home and find my cable under my table. Plus I shoot another movie this weekend but someone else directed my screenplay, she also changed up the script because the professor told her too which I don't understand why do we have to listen to peoples feedback if writing is subjective you either like it or you don’t. But I'm willing to compromise at least she found someone with an elf suit, bought 8 coke bottles and Christmas decorations.

Far thoughts

This weekend felt wasted because I could have gone home and shot a music video with my Best friend for a song I helped write and have been dying to record. Instead, I stayed here to help my film group shoot a stupid video for a whack assignment in one of my production courses. Plus I was really tight because the two girls who picked the song we have to shoot weren’t even around for the shoot and left me and the most incompetent people to shoot her idea! Whatever but not all is horrible, my best friend finally released a joint project with some other friends on itunes and the whole project fire. I've been doing my part and sending massive text messages to everyone I know to cop his tape and tomorrow I will print out a bunch of copies of his tape and post them all over campus to get a larger fanbase. I hope this music stuff really takes off for them and I hope I can hop on a track soon and let off I've been itching to show off my lyrical skills.

slave to structure

Lately, I've been depressed and stressing college life because of several factors, Academics, Greek life, and student organizations but most of all trying to find time for my real passion Stand up comedy and filmmaking. I’m way too involved and this is all because of my decision to pledge a frat. The fraternal members suggested for me to join a student organization to get a better handle of professional. It has thought me more about professionalism but at what cost. Now I'm expected to do certain responsibilities I really don't want to do, and plus the president of it is very demanding and I don’t work well with Authority. I feel as if college is changing me but for the worst, Now I’m a little more organized, I legit use a planner and crossed off things off my to-do list. I hate having to follow a structure and doing the same routine my personality is more of a spontaneous person. I need a little chaos in my life right now. Also, I’m starting to get this feeling that I’m barely learning anything in my film classes we just have discussions on certain movies and hear each other opinions. Honestly, who cares people will always have different opinions because at the end of the day their just opinions I just wish we learn more stuff about editing in my classes instead of being expected to know this stuff. I’m learning more about editing through youtube tutorials and simply just doing it. I need to find time for my passions and work on growing instead of letting my involvements hold me back.

Through adversity look at the positive and grow

So earlier this weekend was the Panic Film screenings and I was a little butt hurt that I didn’t win anything cuz I spent a lot of time and money into my idea by feeding the crew and getting props. However, I'm still proud of myself for not giving up on my idea even when certain actors and crew members bailed on me at the last minute. The competition was really good this year so I can’t complain about losing to people who had great films just sucks that every time I try to do a film it feels like I'm working with a one-man crew but that's fine these struggles will just strengthen me as an independent filmmaker and teach me to not rely on anyone but myself. Also this weekend I'm proud of myself cuz I had to get groceries this week and none of my housemates with cars were home.  Instead of feeling sorry for my self for not having a ride, I hiked it all the way to Walmart and took the bus back home with all my groceries. I can’t wait to get famous one day and write a self-help book for kids about battling depression. Side note I went to ollies earlier and I think its crazy that people can just buy guns like snipers and assault rifles there so easily. I mean I personally like guns just cuz I shoot one before and it was fun and exciting makes you feel powerful but at the same time with recent news, I'm trying to put myself in the mind of a troubled youth any sicko cuz just by a gun a shoot up a school or crowded area we need stricter laws on guns while also not prohibiting people from buying them.

2k 18 problems

I’m not much of a video gamer but I do play this one game called NBA 2k which is a basketball game. I been hooked on this game since I was first put on since 2k 13 I bought 2k 14,15,16, and 17. Which in my mind as I get older sounds stupid and I'm developing a problem cuz THESE GAMES ARE EXPENSIVE!  They cost $60 a piece with a return rate of $5 after the year is over. I buy the same game every year and its nothing new except a new roster and different players. So I told my self this year when 2k 18 comes out I'm not going to get it. If anything, I’ll wait till black Friday to get it for $40 dollars. What doesn’t help is that all my friends play this game and push it on me. so the plan is to stay away from it for a while but I headed it to this barbershop cause I desperately needed a shape up. And there it was I found it near the waiting station so I played it and instantly feel in love. then went and copped it and played it with my buddies last night.

last minute film project

So in my intermediate production class, my group of five was given a film assignment to make a no dialog film under 3 minutes and we had over a month to film it. I wasn’t super passionate about the project because I hate non dialog films and also I didn’t like any of the prompts we had to choose from so I let someone write the script for our project. Also, I never spoke up about when should we as a group shoot this project simply because no one else ever mentioned it so we ultimately waited until the last minute to film the whole thing. I didn’t enjoy the time I spent with my group because I originally wanted to be the cameraman but someone else in my group took that job so I was left with nothing else to do but help establish shots or get props. Besides not having any real responsibility for this project, we had trouble finding actors so we had to use one person in our group as an actress. This made matters worse because she is a commuter who lives in Syracuse who works most weekends so the only time she was available to film was Saturday from 6am-12pm and Sunday 6pm-9pm. One I don’t enjoy waking up that early and two I don’t like waking up that early especially if I'm not doing anything but for to secure my grade and getting credit for helping my group I withstood all of these annoyances. To make matters worse one our last day of filming the group spots a cat and gets distracted for 10 minutes at this point I'm ready to explode but I keep my cool and just remind myself my life is a sitcom that funny for everyone to watch but its never funny for me.

why I workout alone

So I went to the gym earlier today with my workout friend and I was a little annoyed that he didn’t tell me he was bringing a female companion. One, because she slowed down, are workout time since now we're waiting on three people to finish their set instead of two. Two because she distracted him and took most of his attention when really he’s supposed to be going to the gym with me to help train me. And Three because I just felt like the third wheel which I being and try to avoid at all cost. At one point for some old reason, the girl asked me to give her an honest rating from 1-10. I told her I don't want to take part in this but she insisted I give her my opinion. I told her a 5 and instantly she was offended. I tried playing it off like I was only joking but I wasn’t. As a counter attack, she said “well if I’m a 5 then you're a 2″ and I applauded her decision and thanked only to acknowledge that I'm a 2 because I'm a piece of shit in association with the number 2.
