Look, I know John's a sadistic prick. I know he carves sins into people and then cuts chunks of their skin off for fun. I know he's utterly insane and he could and would drown me and smile about it if given the chance. BUT let me just say....the idea of Rook redeeming him and making him see reason and then they run off together to live peaceful lives where John recovers from his brutal trauma is idealistic but ENDEARING idea to consider.
