Mia had a bag full of quick carbs but she’d decided that she should probably find herself a slow carb to attempt to keep herself in range, given that it was approaching a meal time. She watched the man attack the machine, obviously keen to get himself a snack. “You know, honestly I feel like we could smash it and really, no-one could be mad,” she shrugged, “just say it’s for the kids.” She shook her head at his question, “I’m alright, I was just looking for some chips or something, attempting to keep the BG steady,” she mused.
At the suggestion, John raised a brow. Frankly, he hadn’t thought of that but even in these desperate times he wasn’t sure if he could do it. “You’re probably right about that. It is a very special circumstance after all and it might just be easier than feeding all my change to these machines trying to get snacks for those who need them,” he told her with a chuckle, shaking his head. “Most things are for the kids to be fair so it wouldn’t even be a very selfish action - do you really think there wouldn’t be a consequence?” He asked her, caring about her take on this before he raised a brow. “I don’t know if it’ll suffice but I do have a small bag of chips at hand actually,” he told her with a small smile before opening the backpack he’d put on the floor next to the vending machine to retrieve it so he could offer it to her. “My mother’s got diabetes so I know you definitely need this more than most,” the male sympathized.
