“Nah, that’s alright. Think I was, uh, a stunt double or something in another life. Takes a lot to scare me,” he assured, pad of his thumb absently grazing along his bottom lip in distracted thought as he investigated her features. He always had a way of looking at people like he was drinking every inch of them up, mentally compiling a reference sheet of every pore to sketch out in strokes of charcoal later – it wasn’t intentional, he just couldn’t seem to help himself from finding the lumps of diamond in a coal mine. “Dunno about that. Seem pretty average sized to me. In fact, a little too average sized. Starting to think you’re one of those specially modelled robot people from Westworld. Only thing you’re missing is a cowboy hat and a homicidal agenda.”
A slight stinging of her cheeks welcomed an even darker shade of pink as he looked her over. She was never one to be so shy but the way he looked at her gave her reason to believe he was looking for some hidden secrets of some sort. She cleared her throat and smiled back at him. She was flattered and felt almost too playful, but that didn’t stop her any. “Oh yeah? I don’t know what to tell ya but I do own a cowboy hat. I think it’s in one of my old boxes actually–– and the agenda, well, that’s a secret between you and me.”
