Cassie was only just 13 when the plague hit. She had lost her mother to cancer only a year before and though the loss turned her world upside-down, nothing could’ve prepared her for what happened next. 

Her father, a retired policeman, was quick to pack the essentials for her and her older brother to escape. He gave them coordinates to reach a safe camp and promised to join them, but they needed to move, and fast! She didn’t know then that hasty hug goodbye would be the last between them. 

Cassie and her brother were very close to the camp when her brother fell ill. She tried to make runs to find medicine, not knowing what exactly was wrong with him, but days went on and he only got worse. When he turned, she had no option but to run away from him to save her life, knowing it wasn’t really under his control to go after her. Escaping her brother, Cassie was imminently captured and taken to a farm-like camp.

At camp Cassie quickly took to helping the youngest ones. Even after everything she had been through, she still kept that kindness to her voice and her eyes that made others trust her quickly. It was with the support of those around her that she decided to become a teacher later on.

Cassie is for peace with the vampires for the sole reason that her brother is still out there, somewhere, or at least she hopes, and he’s one of them. It’s also why she’s taken to study and learn more about the species and tries to encourage others to see both sides of the scope. It’s not to say she agrees with vampires being superior or is content about humans not being allowed to decide their own fate.

— Her older brother, vampire, turned as they were on the run.  — Best friend / confidante who has preferably known Cassie since before the plague. — If younger, someone she’s taught back at the farm to whom Cassie be some sort of older sister / mentor. — Anything goes so... just IM me and we can put on our brainstorming hats and get ideas rolling!

Calvin Beau Hawkins was born to Josiah and Molly Hawkins up in Tennessee.

His parents relocated back home to Bluebell after the death Cal’s paternal grandfather Harvey Hawkins ((Bluebell’s beloved Santa Clause every Christmas since ‘64)). Josiah’s the youngest of four, with two of his siblings decently older than he and his brother. Anyway, Josiah had been convincing Molly to moving to his hometown since they found out about Calvin.

Cal understands that he’s a “southern gentleman” due to his genes, but he’s a little meh sometimes. Idk the word to use. Like he’s not a loner, but he does his own thing and tries to be as respectable as he can. Forgive him if he hurts someone’s feelings here and there. That’s life (and also the Tucker genes in him).

He has, however, always been one to volunteer without a second thought. He’s enjoyed helping out around town from the time he was a young kid going door-to-door asking to mow lawns for $5.

I’m still deciding what he does for a living besides odd jobs around town.

He might be getting his degree online idk. I’ll figure it out as I go.

Alrighty, that’s that. I hope it’s not as bad as I made it out to be. Plots are cool, but I literally have no clue what plots I want, so hit me up with some ideas.

before the plague occurred, yan wu’s net worth was in the billions, owning international corporations all over the world. he was one of the most well known CEOS (like think crazy rich asians here yall).

it was a huge turnaround as he started off from a poor family in taiwan.

when the plague hit and he was turned, he disappeared off the face of the world, no one really knowing what happened to him? when everything started getting back in order, he came back as the owner of numerous nightclubs and started going by the name “nicolai”. though it looks normal on the outside, go into the back and you’ll see the true nation of his business: humans letting vampires feed off of them for a fee

he’s super suave honestly and can’t help but flirt with everyone. he adores human beings because he finds them so particularly interesting. he almost forgets sometimes that he was anything but a vampire. 

he is “for” peace with humans, though it comes from a neutral standpoint?? he sees the negotiations are mere business opportunities. if humans and vampires were to form a peace, he could capitalize on that. he doesn’t really care much for humans other than his egocentric interest in them after all. 

don’t get on his bad side though?? he’s extremely protective of his vampire family, especially the one’s that work or are often seen at his nightclub. if any human threatens to hurt those he cares about, you’ll be sure to see his fangs

yaa!!! anyway thats the gist of it?? i would love to plot! if you need some ideas:

maybe someone that knew him before turning?

someone that works or goes to his nightclub often or just comes to say hi?? kind of like a best friend deal where they banter back and forth

fwb?? 

i would also love someone he kind of mentors?? or someone he views as a younger sibling? he’s super over protective of this person really
