Generally, Roark tries to warn people before he suddenly appears at their house/Gym/etc. This is currently not the case. Roark decided it’s time for a hello given in person to Volkner and if Volkner’s otherwise occupied, Roark figures they can both deal.

As such, Volkner gets a courtesy knock and 30 seconds pause before Roark allows himself into the far room of Sunyshore Gym. “Hello, I hope you’re up for social visits.”

               “I’m not, but even if I told you that, you’d barge in anyways.”

       He has his back to the door when Roark comes in, his hands        busy with the eevee in the metal tub in front of him. While it was        dangerous to have a tub of water in the electric gym, the eevee        needed to be washed immediately before the grease he managed        to get into set too badly into his fur.
