Take out the brilliant part, and you’d be right.
I mean.. I can’t deny that I wouldn’t do something similar to my roommate if given the chance. It is fuckin’ brilliant.

Four months. That’s how long my roommate stood by and watched me water a fake plant. I am now looking for a new roommate.
Your roommate sounds like a cunt. A brilliant one, but a cunt indeed.

Caine laughed, nudging his friends foot without his own before dropping down next him. “Yeah, you sure look it.” He muttered, lifting the whistle to his lips and looking out at the girls. “Two more laps, lassies, then you can take a five minute break!” He called out, watching for a second before to make sure they kept running before averting his gaze back to Jonah.
“You try running and keeping up with a bunch of teenagers. They’re on some next level shit right now.” He said. Caine wasn’t that much younger than them, but he forgot how out of shape he was after his injury. It just reminded him, though, of how much he loved the adrenaline of the sport. “No one said you’d have to come again.” He shot back, reaching over him and peering into the cooler.
“Oi shut it.” Jonah pouted, relieved when Caine actually sat down with him for a minute. Sometimes he felt like they didn’t get to see each other enough, especially with the soccer camp taking a lot of the other man’s time. It was nice.. Just having some time to shoot the shit and talk. “They’re gonna come bat their eyes at their favorite coach the second they’re on break.” He teased, laying back on the grass.
“You know I couldn’t. Fuck off. Even in my prime best I can do is a brisk fuckin’ walk.” He let out a snort, nudging the cooler a bit closer to Caine when he showed interest. “Might as well come. Bored as fuck at the flat. ‘Sides, you’re always sayin’ I need to get more sunshine. ‘Fore I turn into Gollum.”

Caine loved soccer. It was one of his first loves, something that always managed to ease his mind. While writing songs for others and performing here and there were a passion he never wanted to give up, kicking a ball around a feel always soothed his soul. And while he couldn’t do much of it now, coaching was the next best thing.
He never really thought his roommate was serious when he would say he’d come by and watch, the summer camp starting to get into full swing. It wasn’t something Jonah ever really showed interest in back in Ireland, and he didn’t expect it to be any different now. He tried to hold in a laugh seeing him plopped down on the grass as the girls ran their laps around him. Grabbing one of the soccer balls he dribbled over a bit, before lightly kicking it at him. “You don’t seem like you’re having fun there, mate.” He joked, watching the ball roll slowly and tap him on the feet.

Jonah hated football- or well, soccer- as they were being forced to call it since they were doin’ shit the American way. Caine had always loved it with such a passion that occasionally hanging out at the pitch seemed necessary to show his support. The camp was no different which was why he’d popped up today, bringing an extra cooler of some snacks and drinks for Caine and the kiddos.
Lost in his own head, the ball hitting his foot had him jumping a little and he threw a quick middle finger the Irishman’s way when ( hoped ) the girls weren’t looking. “Havin’ a ball.” He quipped, nudging the ball some with his foot. “You’re the one who looks knackered, mate.”

Please don’t.
.. Hurtful. I was going to come up with the best cheer you’ve ever heard.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that Lima doesn’t have its own soccer camp. How sad is that? So, you’re looking at the new director of Lima’s summer soccer camp.
I’ll wear a cheer uniform and cheer ya on.
