nancy--wheeler:
LONNIE BYERS. Nancy would honestly kill that man if she thought she could get away with it. He had done so much harm to a group of people that Nancy had grown to love like her own family, it made her blood boil. The way heâd treated Joyce. His emotional abuse towards Will. The physical abuse towards Jonathan. How heâd returned during Willâs disappearance for the money, and not out of any kind of genuine concern for the family heâd left behind. For a man who technically held the title of âfatherâ, he didnât deserve it. Especially not when that title came with such WONDERFUL sons as Jonathan and Will. Not even famous do-nothing Ted Wheeler was as horrible a partner or parent as Lonnie had been. As Lonnie always WOULD be.
Nancy sighed gently as Jonathan stepped closer, leaning into his palm on her cheek as her eyes met his. â⊠Weâre alright.â she confirmed, giving him a tiny smile before leaning up to close the distance between them with a kiss. To be honest, her head was still kind of SPINNING - just an hour ago, sheâd thought the two of them were truly over for good. To have him back, to know he still LOVED her? Was slowly setting in, clicking into cognition as more minutes passed by. âIâm ⊠Iâm really glad you came home.âÂ
Jonathan pulled in a breath through his nose when Nancy leaned up and kissed him, almost melting against her, even though the action was brief. Her words made him feel much light. When he first saw her an hour ago he thought the world was crushing him but now? Now he had to hold onto her to keep from floating off the floor. He smiled down at her, his arms around her as he kept her close, âIâm glad I did too,â he chuckled. âAnd Iâm staying,â he nodded. âYâknow when I can...Iâm....I got offered a job with, uh, with the paper in Indianapolis and...itâs kinda far, but I can work from home really...just have to take pictures and mail em and show up there on Mondays through Wednesdays...but I can be here the rest of the week.
âIf I take it,â he shrugged a shoulder. He leaned down and kissed her gently, âI mean I did get an offer from Hawkins too,â he smirked. âTeaching job,â he laughed, the tone one of disbelief. âPhotography and English,â he dipped his head, nodding. âSo uh...would you wanna...I dunno...stay here...with me?â he lifted an eyebrow.Â
