Reviving Giga Studio

I have decided to revive gigasamples.com for those of you who have a large investment in gigastudio like me. 

Even though it technically was never lost, I moved from my personal site back to the dedicated gigasamples.com domain.

With the awesome LinuxSampler project, you can now use all of your old gigastudio samples and gigasamples.com is THE best place for royalty free gigasamples. You can also export the samples, but can't sell them (that is only fair).

I updated some of the stuff, but in doing so, I also found about 30 more samples that I never uploaded after the demise of Worras Place. So look for more drums and loops and who knows what else.

I just found out about an important recall of certain Mexican beers distributed by Heineken USA.

  It only affects the brown bottle versions of certain batches of Carta Blanca and Dos Equis Amber in 6 and 12 packs. It also affects the Beers of Mexico and Best of Mexico variety packs. Also affected was Indio in 12 ounce bottles, although that beer is only in available in Texas in the Best of Mexico pack.

Most people think that beer causes a beer belly despite studies that show mixed conclusions. There are even studies that show beer to be a negative factor in abdominal obesity (Halkjaer et al., 2006).

There is no doubt that abdominal obesity is one of the leading risk factors for cardiovascular disease. It is important to understand the true causes and not just blame beer, or any other food without proper study.
