Vibes of each Thomas classic era series

Series 1 - light, breezy, colourful and wide-eyed

Series 2 - a bit more mature and rough around the edges but still retaining some of the Series 1 vibe

Series 3 - bright, sunny beach vibes

Series 4 - middle-aged painter creates a swan song piece that is like a reflection of the first three series and has matured into a bit of a mellow, yet cheeky persona.

Series 5 - painter's 12-year-old son gets on board. WOAHHHHHH MAN GHOSTS AND EXPLOSIONS AND SHIT WOAHHHHHHHHH. Realistic looking but full of insanity.

Series 6 - back to Series 1 frivolity with a dash of slapstick.

Series 7 - the middle-aged painter returns for one final time, meditating on what makes Thomas a successful show and bringing the classic era to a close with the final run of stories being back to Thomas' roots.

I think it's safe to say that without Britt Allcroft, Thomas would not be the TV juggernaut it is today. The Awdrys wrote the books and made them successful, but it was Britt who took a gamble and made these characters a part of our childhoods watching the small screen. Thank you Britt for all you did for this franchise. May you rest in peace.
