@joptober, itās officially your favorite time of the year aka the few months when you can actually say that youāre a year older than me and have it (technically) be true. and despite how much i want to fight you every time you do that, i never do. because despite all of your teasing, youāre still the most selfless and caring person that iāve ever met and i would still fight the rest of the world before i even thought about fighting you (no, the dumpling incident doesnāt count. please hush.) you give so much of yourself to the people around you without so much as a second of hesitation and each person that gets to consider themselves a part of your life enough to experience that side of you is truly one of the luckiest people in the world and i very much include myself in that list. becauseĀ i remember meeting you all those years ago and just kind of knowing that you were going to be one of those people that stayed in my life for a long time. i wouldnāt have ever been able to predict that weād go on to do or achieve the things that we have together, of course, but i still knew, somehow, that you were one of the ones that was going to be there years and years later. you were a permanent addition to my life the day i met you. i just felt it. because youāve always been someone that i could share both the best and the worst days of my life with and i know how rare that is to find. itās not common to find someone that can go from exchanging ratatouille memes with me one second to discussing something serious and helping me work through things in the next. but you do that. you not only handle me at all extremes of my personality but you balance me out and i mean it when i said that i truly donāt know where or who i would be without you.
