The infographic i’m making is about basketball, more specifically the proper way of shooting a basketball. By next week, i’m planning to add more detail and make the visual steps easier to understand.

Leadership homework
After looking over what we had all written about leadership, I noticed that most people defined it as a person who takes charge, is a role model, & helps others achieve a common goal. However, after reading the articles & learning about how the definition of leadership has changed, I realized that we were wrong. The transition of leadership from only involving the leader to now involving the leader as well as the followers makes a lot of sence. Especially because if a leader worked independently to achieve his/her goals, no one would be benefit or learn from the leader since there is no interaction. The idea that leaders as well as followers working together to achieve a desired goal is the post-industrial view of leadership makes one view the whole idea of a leader differently. If you did not have followers, you would not be considered a leader because you are not helping or influencing anyone. Today's leaders are all examples of this. For instance, Barack Obama isn't the only person in charge of making decisions for our country. Many other people are involved in making these decisions which help make the United States a better country & therefore, it is an example of leadership.
Important factors when choosing a college...
A factor that will be most important to me when choosing a college will be athletics because I like sports and I want to play for a college team some day. Another factor that will be most important to me when choosing a college will be size of campus and number of students because I don't want a super big and crowded college. Thirdly, a factor that will be most important to me when choosing a college will be the major/degrees offered because I want the college I attend to have a good astronomy and physics program. I'm not sure what college I want to go, but I don't want to go to school here in Wisconsin. I want to attend college somewhere warmer like back in Arizona or California for example.
College I would attend...
If money were no problem I'd probably attend UC Berkeley because during the school year we researched colleges and I looked into Berkeley and found it to be a very good school for me, especially because its Physics and Astronomy program are highly ranked. Also, California seems like a nice place to live.
Today in ITA we took the Personal Globe Inventory to see some of our future career options. The results showed that I am interested in realistic, imaginative, and artistic careers. The results, as well as the job list, were quite accurate. The list included "astronomer" and "mathematician" which are two careers I'm actually interested in looking into in the future.
Today in ITA we began a new project in which we will use HTML and CSS to create a website. I decided on the topic of Top Players In NBA History. I will research the opinions of many NBA fans on who they believe these top players were. Then, I'll create a website with a main page and three other pages where I will give a brief description of what these players did to become legends.
Today in ITA we learning more about coding. We copied the Internships section of the ITA website and pasted it into Word. Then we used Notepad ++ to recreate the Internships section using HTML. I found it somewhat confusing, but i think overtime coding will become much easier. We learned that lazy coders are the best coders because they code much faster by using shortening words, etc. I hope that soon i'll be able to create my own creative website using HTML.
Today in ITA we learned about HTML. We began by playing a game called Light Bot where we had to use simple coding to get the robot to light the blue tiles. We also used Scratch and then redesigned a website about our favorite shows. I find coding quite interesting, but it's also pretty confusing. I just hope that soon I'll get the hang of it and be able to create something unique using code.
This is my puzzle piece, which is not done. It has two pictures of me and a picture of a basketball because it's my favorite sport. I was thinking about adding a picture of the universe in the background because i like astronomy but i didn't have enough time.
Today in the Explore the Universe class we looked at gravity lenses and tried to find light bending around a planet. We also looked at graphs to try to see if a star has a planet revolving around it.
Oscar and I are now in the progress of actually creating our company stamp and product logo on Illustrator.
For our Behind the Wheel project we were assigned the product "Creativity". Oscar and I decided to make our artifact some kind of unique pencil. We have decided on a slogan and a company name. We also sketched a few ideas of how our pencil will look, but now we just need to think of a color scheme.
I am almost finished i just need the back of my business card and add color, which i think will probably be red.
I finally created a logo I actually like, now all I need to do is finish my business card and add color to my logo. What I learned about color theory is that there are different types of colors including cool colors and warm colors.
So this is my logo so far, it's not done at all but i'm working on it. I changed my logo completely because I got a new idea and I've only been using the pen tool to create it. I think red would probably go work good with my logo.
I haven't finished my logo yet, but it's basically just my initials J and Z. The pen tool was pretty easy to use now that i'm getting more used to it. I'm learning so much about Illustrator, especially about all the different tools and things you can create.
