Over the weekend I finished a new Marginalia Archive drawing combining marginalia from two different participant contributions. The drawing will be in Autocorrect, a group show opening at Josée Bienvenu Gallery in New York on July 25th.

out 2012 - Dificilmente quando um artista é convidado para desenvolver um trabalho site specific o resultado é tão extraordinário como o alcançado nesta intervenção de Artur Lescher no espaço Octógono da Pinacoteca do Estado de SP.

Inabsência, não é apenas arrebatador do ponto de vista estético, como também é notável ao estabelecer um diálogo entre a linguagem do artista e a arquitetura do lugar como poucas vezes se viu na arte contemporânea. 

Ao re-criar a cúpula originalmente proposta por Ramos de Azevedo para aquele lugar do prédio, o artista não só traz à vida uma memória arquitetônica não realizada, como também introduz um significado novo para ela, uma vez que sua obra inverte a cúpula e no lugar de ligar simbolicamente terra e céu, ela une céu e terra e centra sua agulha no coração do museu.
