Reflection On-the-Job Training - Bicol University Research and Development Center
The training that I have undergone which lasted 2 months on RDC, I can say that I gained most of the experience I needed to work there as a full time employee. At first, I was nervous on how I would interact with the people working in there. I was wondering on what I would do and what were the tasks that will be given for me to work on. But then, as time pass by, I became relax and started hanging out with the all of the regular employees . They were friendly and very accommodating in their own simple way and they’ve never shown any negative attitude towards us Interns.
During the duration of my training there, I could say that I enjoyed doing whatever task that was given to me. I handled every task with utmost importance for them to know that I am serious about my training. Tasks like, (1) Photocopying important papers corresponding to the different Researches that was being handled by the center (2) Update the database of TDPU for the year of 2014 and so on and (3) I must assist in the circulation of the materials needed by not just the department but the whole center.
During this training I experienced the saying “Mas madali ang mag-aral kaysa sa mag trabaho” Now I could say that it really is easier to attend school than work everyday...
Before I end this, I would like to thank our CS/IT Department for making this Internship possible. Without their support, we would not experience something like this...
