When the tide rises
When the tide rises, the fish swim in pools built by a child's hand,
a changing landscape of rocks and sand, prime real estate of man made things, softened by the sea
The sea bringing its own presents to the shore.
For six hours, fish explore this changing land
Or water, reclaiming some things, discovering others.
A new frontier emerges when the tide rises,
And when it falls, new hands work
To create new discoveries
to plant new mysteries
And to discover what the sea has left in return.
