Life goals
I know I've made it in life if I can afford both time and money to own a dog in my own house and travel with him. Yes my dog will be male.
Morning Mamak
I love going to the mamak especially the one near my office. Why? Cause I get to experience true Malaysian hospitality from Non Malaysians. I've walked into many fine dining joints and paid way more money for food but the genuine smile from these guys is like my favorite cup of coffee. Inspiring.
It was one of those nights #1
I was watching "I am number 4" with my family and felt a sharp pinch to my heart on one particular scene. Keeping in mind of the fact that I've seen this movie more than one time but the string from the pinch just ran deeper into me . It was the scene when the dog turned into some sort of creature to protect Four and as the scene went on, Four completely neglected to look for his dog that was fighting some other fugly ass beast (he may be an alien but srsly) as he leaves the conflict area. The fight ends with the dog crying on the bathroom floor. Left alone.... As the show was ending, the dog came crawling back to Four to follow the trio to the next adventure. Having recently lost Snow, I've felt more sensitive towards such scenes and even Facebook videos about dogs... It sounds silly but I once wrote a published piece called Genesis 2012 that was inspired by Snow .. How she transformed to a majestic creature to bring my main characters to Eden. So somehow the scene unlocked that feeling, that she had fulfilled her purpose and that was it. It would be so much better if Snow came back like the Four movie dog or stayed around like the Eden dog from my story... It took me a while but I realized Snow didn't have to transform to take me to Eden. Having her as my family was paradise in itself.
Ghosting and missing
I lay here, just reflecting on how easily someone tosses around the term "I miss you" or as many people in my circle put it "miss you" . Why are we so afraid to commit to act on this emotion? Why do you say it if you don't really mean it? Perhaps in a way you do, but in this ego driven society, missing someone is one thing. Making an effort to care enough to persistently make arrangements to be around them, make it seem like you are a loser. I won't fall for it, not from people who once meant something to me and now to seem like the nicer person claims to miss me. Though it could also be that you want to just miss someone because they seem better in your head than when you actually meet them again. So perhaps you can disconnect and yet miss someone. It would be simpler... (Early morning rant)

Because I donāt want to love someone who has never been bruised before; I donāt want to fall in love with someone for their beauty, I want to fall in love with what makes them beautiful.
Casual he says, after
I wished you treated my being the way you treat my body, the desire to devour me whole , the desire to touch every part of me . I wished your desires extended beyond my surface. I wished you desire me for my wit, my experiences , my story -just like I longed for yours. I wonder if at any point you knew that there is a soul inside of me - crying out to be heard - to be touched by yours. Instead it feels like when you touch me physically itās like when you touch your favorite toy but do no maintenance because it isnāt worth the time or effort. I didnāt consent to something casual, I should have asked but I was afraid. Isnāt that what rapists do? The more skilled kind anyway?

How Your Thoughts Actually Affect Your Life
There is a lot of talk about how our thoughts have a huge impact on our lives. From ancient masters of different religions to modern self-help books - they all tell us that what we think determines our lives.
Iāve been hearing this for many years, and I remember not really understanding what it meant. It seems foolish now that I didnāt understand, but to be honest, no one really explained it all that well. I suppose it should be common knowledge, but Iām sure that it is not so evident to some people, so Iām going to explain as logically as possible how our thoughts affect our lives. Maybe I can spare some people the painful experiences I had to go through.
The first hypothesis I was faced with was the law of attraction type assumption that what you think will happen to you. This is one of the reasons I chose to write this article - there are so many assumptions out there that one can be confused by and just abandon the whole teaching altogether, because it makes us think that none of it makes sense.
This hypothesis states that whatever you think, you bring in your life. In the movie āThe Secretā a man is shown who put up a picture on his ādream boardā of a house he wanted to live in, and many years later he bought the exact same house without even realizing it. All because he was looking at the picture of the house every single day, imagining it in his mind, and this hypothesis suggests that by doing so, you can manifest anything in your life.
As a person with anxiety, this hypothesis made me very uncomfortable. I was thinking negative thoughts all the time that made me anxious and panic, and the thought that said whatever I think will manifest made me even more anxious. So does that mean that if I think Iāll go crazy I actually will? What a harmful thing to teach people.
It took me a long time to realize why it wasnāt true, and what the āthoughts impact your lifeā saying actually meant. Needless to say it took me years of painful experiences that I used to learn from later on.
What we think will not manifest in our lives exactly the same way we think. As I like to say, we cannot think life. But how we think does determine the world we see. Confusing, isnāt it? Read moreĀ»

How to Forget Who We Are and Choose Who We Want to Be
Some people might be scared to admit that thereās a voice inside of their heads, but the truth is that we all have a malicious voice inside of our minds that speaks to us constantly. It tells us why we canāt do certain things and reminds us constantly why we need to be afraid. We all have to learn how to approach that voice.
The first, and most important, step in this process is recognizing the voice. We tend to grow up not even realizing itās there, and this may cause much suffering in our lives. Thatās why it is important to recognize the voice - itās our first step towards a suffering-free life.
Two things happen when we donāt recognize the voice and it just keeps whispering to us: we will unconditionally believe that what itās saying is true, and we will put our identities in it, thinking that itās all we are.
That is when we start feeling and behaving in ways we donāt want to, and saying that āwe cannot be any other way.ā The truth is that we can always be the people we want to be. We always have a choice. Read moreĀ»

āI know where you liveā - Mom 2015
Sometimes I get the sads and want to be loved.. but I want to be left alone.
Sometimes I miss people I have never met and places I have never been.
Sometimes I hate everything, including myself, and I get very angry.
Today I am a mixture of all these. And I hurt. Itās exhausting trying to feign being excited or interested in others today.
I want to go home. But even when I am home I still have that feeling of wanting to go home. I have lost my center. I am scattered. I canāt breathe. I am stuck in a chapter that isnāt ending.
I thought vacation would help but it did nothing. I did nothing and I feel like nothing.
I want to find my home.
