okay but remember how in vote1 naruto was questioning his friendship with sasuke because he was going to kill naruto? “Can you kill me calmly sasuke?” And how naruto cried and thought that it was stupid to have thought that him and sasuke were friends, that maybe naruto wanted to be friends too much yet it was all a lie? “But that would make me so stupid.” Naruto finally realised sasuke meant to kill and yet… at the end naruto opened his eyes. why did sasuke not kill him like he said he would? he couldn’t break their bond after all, but why? why why why? but sasuke didn’t kill him so that means that naruto must still be important to sasuke after all, right? “Those times were not meaningless” playing over and over again on a loop in Naruto’s head. and so it makes sense that naruto is so resolute in the hospital “I’ll be a fool all my life” because he knows that their bond still remains. Sasuke didn’t break it. Which is why in the reunion scene naruto confronts sasuke about it “why didn’t u kill me? Maybe you couldn’t break our bond, maybe u were afraid, huh sasuke?” what Naruto’s been wanting to ask sasuke all those years, the first thing he says, “why?” (Please let me be right)
