Part Thirteen:
“Luhan? Luhan, wake up.” Iseul whispered yelled, looking back behind her to check if the guards were returning, but it seemed as though they left and fell asleep drunk like every night. Luhan started shifting on the floor as he looked up seeing Iseul above him, smiling like she figured something out.
“I got a plan to get us out of here.” Iseul said triumphantly as Luhan widened his eyes and shook his head sitting up and wincing from the scattered bruises on his body. Last night was a rough one and Iseul noticed, frowning down at Luhan and helping him up.
“We can’t Iseul they’ll kill us.” Luhan whispered back and looked around afraid that they’ll be back. He was slowly breaking and he couldn’t believe Iseul was still hoping to get out.
“No they won’t. I got everything down.” Iseul insisted as she pulled on Luhan’s arm, hoping he’ll at least listen to her ‘plan’. He nodded and let her speak, but he really didn’t want to get in more trouble than it’s worth.
“Okay so I got matches from a guard while he wasn’t looking and last night when they took me to the medical ward I stole a bottle of ethanol alcohol.” she spoke fast as an excited smile crept up on her face. “We’re burning this shit hole down.”
“Are you insane? They will find us.” Luhan sighed as he looked down shaking his head. He was afraid because he knew how severe the consequences could be if they do run away and these people track them down. He shuddered at the thought as Iseul groaned and pushed Luhan’s shoulder, whining.
“Come on. You see her?” Iseul pointed to a girl that’s been brought to their cell a couple of weeks ago. She looked broken beyond repair and resembled a corpse from how pale she looked. Luhan nodded confused and Iseul cocked her eyebrow at him.
He kept looking between them and realisation crashed into him as he widened his eyes, shaking his head and repeating ‘no’ over and over again. “You want to- Iseul no. We’re not killers.” Luhan tried to reason with her, but she wasn’t giving up.
“We need to get out. She looks petty similar to me and she’s the same age. Collateral damage is necessary sometimes.” Iseul explained, but Luhan didn’t want to kill someone so he could live. He had no family and he knew no one in Korea. He was alone while that innocent girl may have a family waiting for her somewhere.
“Iseul I have no one, why should I even get out?”
“Don’t be stupid Luhan. We’re in this together, I said that already.” Iseul took his hand and they locked eyes “We’ll take care of each other and you can live with me and my parents. I know she’s innocent and I don’t want to kill her, but I want to get out and if that means killing one person, damn it, I’ll do it. Luhan please?” she looked at him hoping he’ll agree.
She really didn’t want to harm anyone, but hers and Luhan’s life were more important than a strangers. She sighed as she waited for his answer. She got close to Luhan over these awful moments and she really cared about him. She even had a small crush on him and she couldn’t wait to see Ji-Yong to tell him all about it.
“But I don’t want to become a killer.” Luhan said looking down sadly and Iseul went closer to him, hugging him as he hugged back tightly, holding onto her.
“Me neither, but I want to live and I want to get both of us out alive.” Iseul whispered into his neck as she closed her eyes, clutching his shirt in her firsts. “I’ll do it, you just hold her down. Luhan please.” she begged as she thought this was their only way out. She wasn’t going to die in this hole. She needed to see her parents again. She missed them and Kris. Also she had to see Ji again.
“I- we’re in this together, right?” Luhan asked pulling away and looked at her with scared eyes.
“I promise.”
Iseul walked over to the sleeping girl, holding Luhan’s shirt in her hands that were shaking. She felt anxiety building up as her eyes became teary. She took a breath as Luhan took the girls arms and put his hand over her mouth while looking to the hallway for the guards and to not see Iseul kill her. “Iseul I’m not sure about-”
Luhan was cut off when he felt the girl struggle against him, her eyes open wide in fear as she looked at Iseul who was straddling her and strangling her with his shirt. Luhan widened his eyes and wanted to let go, but he didn’t. He just watched as Iseul choked the helpless girl who was trying to scream for help. He shut his eyes, not being able to watch someone die right in front of his eyes, while he helped.
Iseul held the shirt against the girls neck as she struggled to breathe, but Iseul noticed it wasn’t working fast enough so she wrapped her fingers around the girls neck, feeling how her throat was moving under her hands, as the girl tried to fight to stay alive. Iseul had tears running down her face as she saw the light leave the girls eyes as she stopped struggling, her eyes becoming void and cold. “I’m so sorry.” Iseul cried as she let go of the girls neck, seeing her fingerprints imprinted into the girls skin, making Iseul’s blood run cold at the realisation of what she has done.
She froze as she looked at the dead girl in front of her, trying to tell herself that she had to do it, but it didn’t make it any easier. She composed herself and took out a razor and some ink from a pen she found and carved her tattoo onto the girls wrist, while tears fell from her eyes.
“What are you doing?” Luhan asked in horror as he observed Iseul’s crazy actions. She looked mad, crying, carving something into a corpse of the girl they just murdered.
“I have a tattoo. I need people to think she’s me, in case her body stays intact.” Iseul said as she finished, her hands bloody as she wiped her tears not caring that she smeared blood on her cheeks. She was in shock but she knew they had a small window of opportunity to escape so she took a hairpin and tried to open the cell door, her hands a shaking mess, making Luhan stop her.
“I’ll do it.” Luhan whispered and took over while Iseul stood, looking everywhere but the girl as she took the bottle of alcohol and the matches. She sprayed the room with the alcohol and closed her eyes while she poured some of it onto the girl.
“I got it. Iseul, let’s go.” Luhan hissed as he dragged her out of the sell, making her flinch and come back to reality as she poured the liquid behind her, noticing all the other cells full of people.
“All these people. I didn’t think abou-”
“Too late now. We have to hurry.” Luhan said as he ran towards the vent so the guards wouldn’t see them. They crawled through the small opening, Iseul pouring the alcohol along the vents before they got out, seeing it was dawn. Iseul squinted her eyes, the light hurting her, making her vision blurry, but she shook it off and took all the matches and lit them before looking at Luhan.
“Go further back. This vent is connected to the oxygen tank in the building, I saw it while we were inside. This place will explode and you’re already hurt which will slow you down.” Iseul explained as Luhan walked back, hiding behind a cement wall, peeking back at Iseul as she threw the matched inside the vent running towards the wall as the entire place went up in flames, the blow from the explosion throwing Iseul to the ground.
“FUCK!”
Luhan’s eyes widened as he ran towards her, seeing burns on her back as she groaned in pain “Are you okay? Iseul? Can you hear me?”
“I-I’m fine. Shit, this hurts.” She opened her eyes and looked behind Luhan seeing her nightmare burn down in flames. “We’re free.” Iseul said as she looked at Luhan who looked back smiling slightly at her.
She threw her arms around him, hugging him as she cried into his chest, hiccuping as sobs wrecked her body. “It’s over. It’s really over.”
“It is.” Luhan whispered as he pulled away wiping Iseul’s tears away as he sighed in relief. Iseul looked up at him and without thought went in and kissed him, shocking him with her action, but he kissed her back, not sure of what to do. She pulled him closer as she kissed him deeper, smiling into the kiss.
“I wanted to do that for a very long time.”
Luhan followed Iseul to her parents’ house in the middle of the night, holding onto her hand. He liked the feeling it gave him as he smiled at their connected hands. He had to admit that he even liked her a bit. It was a small crush, but he felt it.
“I can’t wait to see mum and dad. It felt like ages.” Iseul said with a smile as she walked up to the house, her smile disappearing the moment she saw the yellow tape on her porch. The lights were off as she ran to the front door, ripping the tap off the door and bursting inside yelling for her parents but there was no answer.
Luhan ran inside as well and saw her in front of the living room, her hand over her mouth as tears started to pool in her eyes. Luhan walked to stand next to her and saw the outline of two bodies on the floor with blood on the walls and floor. Luhan gasped, turning Iseul around and hugging her as he comped his fingers through her hair.
“This can’t be. They can’t be gone.” She cried as Luhan cooed in her ear hating how sad Iseul looked in that moment.
Soon after that they went to Ji-Yong’s house, but it was gone, instead a tall building stood in its place. Iseul felt crushed, her hope of finding Ji at his house disappearing as she saw the scene in front of her. However she continued searching for him along with Luhan as the two got closer and closer.
“Where could he be? We looked everywhere.” Iseul sighed as she sat down on the sofa in their small house she bought with the money her parents left. She sighed as Luhan hugged her from behind making her fall into his body as he hummed.
“We’ll find him. He has to be somewhere.” Iseul nodded as she felt Luhan’s lips on her neck, making her hum in pleasure. She knew now that she liked him a lot the more time went by. They were practically dating for the past ten months, but they haven’t gone further than making out. They were both traumatised from all those months locked up and used by awful people.
Luhan’s kisses continued as his hands slipped under her shirt, staying on her hips as he sucked on her neck, hearing a small moan from Iseul making him smile into her skin. “You’re so beautiful.” he whispered into her ear as she blushed and smiled, turning around and kissing him on the lips. He deepened the kiss by licking her bottom lip and she smiled, kissing back, pulling on his hair making his groan in pleasure as he pulled her onto his lap, his hands resting on her backside.
They continued kissing and then Luhan lifted himself up with her legs around his waist as he walked over to the bedroom door, pinning her against the door as she kissed down his neck making his head fall backwards as he hummed before opening the door and laying her on the bed. He crawled on top of her, nerves making his skin tingles as he looked at her body below him. Her hair fanned over the pillow as she smiled nervously at him, her cheeks flushed and lips swollen from all the kissing. He leaned down and kissed her cheek, then the other one before planting a kiss on her lips moving to her neck. He left butterfly kisses all over her neck as he agonisingly slowly moved to her her collar bone before lifting her shirt, throwing it on the ground as he slowly kissed between her breasts and her stomach, stopping right where her jeans covered her lower body as he looked up at her face. She looked nervous as she played with the sheets, avoiding Luhan’s eyes.
“Iseul? If you don’t wan-”
“I do. It’s not that it’s just…” she closed her eyes as she took a breath “I’ve never done it before. I mean not willingly and I’m just-”
“I’ve never done this before either.” Luhan whispered as he looked away, feeling embarrassed as Iseul smiled down at him.
“I want to do it with you. Just be gentle.” Iseul whispered covering her face from Luhan’s view as he chuckled at her behaviour. She really liked him so she didn’t want to look like a fool, but she saw that he wasn’t looking at her like she was a fool. His eyes were soft as he kissed her fingertips and hummed. She closed her eyes as she felt his fingers fiddling with her jean button before he unbuttoned them and looked up at her again. She nodded as he slowly peeled her jeans off, kissing every inch of her legs as he went. She sighed with a smile as she felt his soft lips travel along her skin, leaving goosebumps where his lips burnt her skin. As his fingers hooked around her underwear she gasped, but felt excitement and nervousness in her belly.
He slipped her underwear off as he moved away and looked at her in awe. She was so beautiful lying on that bed that he had to pinch himself to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. She tried to cover herself, feeling exposed, but Luhan shook his head as he smiled at her “No, don’t do that. You’re so perfect, my God.” He whispered as he kissed her hand before pulling her legs apart and lowering his head in between her legs which made Iseul try to pull him off, but he took her hand squeezing it in his as he spoke, looking over at her “Trust me.” she nodded, but her eyes were still wide as she trembled below him. He lowered his head again and stuck his tongue out, connecting it with her slit making her gasp as she clutched the sheets below her.
Iseul felt his tongue swirling around where she never imagined it to be as she closed her eyes moaning softly with her hand in Luhan’s hair making him hum which send shock waves through her body. She arched her back as she felt a knot in her stomach as she moaned his name
“God, L-Luhan.” she stuttered, cheeks flushed as he pulled himself up, and kissing up her neck before he looked at her smiling.
She pulled him closer and took his shirt off, kissing down his chest as she shakily unbuttoned his pants, looking up at him nervously. He smiled and took his pants off and as soon as his erection came into view she put her hands over her eyes and squeaked making him laugh a small laugh and peel her hands from her eyes locking them with his, kissing her lips softly as she relaxed into the kiss. He wrapped his arms around her as he unclasped her bra letting it fall down. As he caressed her back he felt healing scars all over her skin making him frown and turn her around as he widened his eyes tracing her scars as she flinched away.
“No, don’t look.” she voice whispered as his heart clenched, but he ignored it as he kissed her back, moving her hair away as he got closer to the back of her neck. “You’re beautiful Iseul.” He whispered a he turned her back around, kissing her deeply and laying her back onto the bed. They were both completely exposed and they were nervous, but they both wanted this and they knew it. Luhan reached over the drawer and took a condom out making Iseul blush even harder as she giggled. He smiled lovingly at her as he came closer, their bodies against each other as he looked at her softly.
“Are you sure?” He asked and she nodded as he took her hand tightly holding it as he slowly sunk inside her closing his eyes and groaning in pleasure as her hand dug into his shoulder blade, puling him closer as she kissed him. “Does it hurt?” she shook her head as he started to move slowly, grinding his hips against hers making her moan onto his lips as she bit them making him moan while grinding his hips harder against hers, but still moving slow.
The only thing that was heard for the rest of the night were their heavy breaths as they lost themselves in each other.
Iseul stared at the screen frozen as hot tears ran down her cheeks while Kris talked to Luhan outside of the room. She felt empty and broken beyond repair as Ji’s last moments flashed in her mind as she wiped her cheeks and her face turned cold. She felt anger and hatred and all she wanted to do was find that bastard and make him pay.
She walked out of her room, meeting Kris’ and Luhan’s eyes. Luhan walked towards her asking her if she was okay, but she pushed his hands away with a straight face as she looked at Kris before speaking calmly.
“He won’t come back. We’re done looking.” and then she walked out of the house leaving a confused Luhan and a broken Kris behind her.
Ever since that day Luhan never saw the once warm and kind Iseul. He was instead met with nothing but cruel words and emotionless sex when she felt stressed or angry ad needed to vent.
That was the moment Luhan lost something which he had at the tip of his fingers, and Iseul lost herself all because of revenge and hatred.
