Ink Scribbler x Share Movement
(reposted with permission from Share Movement Blog)
After our successful EAxPN Photography and Blogging workshop, we got a lot of feedback that people wanted a typography/calligraphy workshop.
I was so glad that I discovered Ink Scribbler and their “Scribble Workshop”. Alexis Ventura aka Ink Scribbler gladly agreed to help and offer her passion for a great cause!
We, together with Scribe Writing Essentials, collaborated last May 31 for a Scribble Workshop which, as always, ultimately benefited Joseph Feeding Mission!
Slots were quickly filled by lovely people who wanted to learn more about calligraphy.
It was held at the beautiful Poetry and Prose Patisserie in Shangri-la.
I thought the venue was perfect for a calligraphy workshop; the place was so dainty and classy!
Ms. Marian Yu-Ong, President and General Manager of Scribe Writing Essentials, was hands-on in preparing and accommodating everyone’s needs.
After Ms. Marian’s intro, they gave me time to share about our movement. I was so glad to know that a lot of the attendees also had a heart to help! Some approached me and told me that it was really an eye opener for them to help more people in need! (If you want to know about Share Movement’s cause click here)
Art extraordinaire Alexis Ventura started her talking about calligraphy.
As you can see, the attendees were delighted to learn the basics of calligraphy.
In between Alexis’ lecture, the attendees were given a chance to apply and practiced what they learned.
They practiced the strokes little by little and mastered it as they went by.
I love this poster-like scribble that Alexis made <3
Part of the Scribe’s calligraphy kit. You can check out some of Scribe’s store branches near you and maybe try it out for yourself at home!
It was really nice to see how Alexis went to each table to give closer demonstrations on how to do things correctly.

Attendees trying out different ink colors! Spell F-U-N!
Meet Ms. Marian Yu-Ong (President and General Manager of Scribe), Alexis Ventura (Ink Scribbler), and me!
Who wouldn’t enjoy practicing calligraphy in delicate ambiance and with such delicious pastries?
The workshop was so enticing that I was encouraged to try it on my own! Haha! (Excuse my lame attempt! Beginner here!)
But check out some of the attendees’ works! Aren’t they awesome? Easy learners + great instructor! Thumbs up everyone!
