Happy Mother’s Day!

Our pubmat for tomorrow, mother’s day. The theme is “I love you Ma”. I came up with this theme because I noticed that its so hard for some of us to tell these words personally, not because we don’t love them but because we’re too shy. I created this at least we can tell we love them through these illustrations, too cheesy but that’s okay. 

It’s a subtle illustration of a mother and daughter singing while playing a guitar. I tried to re-brand our pubmat from coffee and paperish look (Semana Santa/Lent) into black and yellow theme (from the color of logo). I want it to look alive, jolly, and more vibrant. I used “Sa Ugoy ng Duyan” music sheet, that I just searched online, as background texture since its a choir group and “sa ugoy sa duyan” is a song about mothers. 

I created two version; a mother and daughter, and mother and son.

I was trying to achieve an impressionist art look but wasn't able to due to lack of time. This was the supposed invitation of Fr. Allan 20th Ordination Anniversary, but was later cancelled because of ECQ.

Out of boredom, I tried to illustrate myself. I’m still working with the facial features. I think, this artwork will be an on-going project as I practice putting some features and textures, so I can see my work progress.

Graphic Illustration for Lent Season

For this lent season, I have decided to create graphic art for the Facebook pages I manage, since I have much time because of the quarantine.  

I have been managing two Facebook pages; a choir group (Vox Petrus Singers), and a religious community (Center Youth Council) . As much as possible, I don’t want them to look similar.

ONE PRAISE 2: Worship Concert

It was last April 22 at Bellarmine Field, Ateneo de Manila University. This was my first time to attend a worship concert which I really enjoyed. I really enjoyed it because I learnt a lot, had time to reflect, and had fun at the same time. It was just like attending a famous artist’s concert but this time, was more special and worthy because its for the most famous Person, our Creator, God. This is a good way for us, young children of God, to give back all the blessing He has given us.

First I was dying to finish high school and start college. And then I was dying to finish college and start college. And then I was dying to marry and have children. And then I was dying for my children to grow old enough for school so I could return to work. And then I was dying to retire. And now I am dying… and suddenly I realize I forgot how to live.
