Re: Academic Walk-Outs
*Will come back to this when I find more information of the matter.
**For the Filipinos here on Tumblr: if you know other universities who have done the same and called for an academic walkout, please share it here or on your own post!
grainy iphone pic but good to be back on campus again 💙
Man... what could've happened if I aimed for the top universities in the Philippines...
Went to school by a helicopter
So there was this story from Ateneo that a student, child of a Congressman, went to school by Helicopter.
That story reached La Salle, U.P. and UST.
Siguro akala n'ya sikat na sya kase ang yaman n'ya. No. Schoolmates got angry. Not because we were jealous, but because that money he just wasted to get to school came FROM OUR POCKETS!!!
In addition, Atenistas were tired of being called mayabang of their wealth when in reality half of their population is a scholar. Imagine being so poor and your parents being minimum wager that they cannot send you to college, pero sa awa ng diyos matalino ka at nakakuha ng scholarship but you still need to work part time while studying and 20% of your little salary (pre-TRAIN) goes to the goverment. Pero okay lang, because that's your duty as a citizen, then one day makikita mo 'tong kaklase mo na anak ng kongresman nag-helicopter kase trip nya. At naisip mo, dun lang pala napunta ang mga pinaghihirapan mo.
That rumor did not appear in national news, but it woke the anger of millions of scholars from top 4 unis.
I was a scholar of LaSalle, my parents were simple workers who had to close their eyes before giving 20 - 30% of their salary to the government. I was, of course, very angry.
That was our wealth they were wasting!!!
NO Ls
Wild Wild Wes + The Ninja
my two biggest uaap crushes
With Wesley, it was short but intense
With Joseph, it was calm but very devoted (goodness, I prayed so much for him to win)
this interview brought back their swag and charms
i was briefly infatuated with baby jeron (like 10 years after), but he was too commercialized and his good boy image just made him very boring very quickly. Wes and Seph were bad boys but they were very good on court. Especially Seph. He really wanted to prove his worth. It is cool to see him all relaxed now. Back in his college days, he always looked like he was going to kill for a win.
what was your dream school? what school did u end up in and why?
ateneo!!!!!!!! really did everything to be able to have my college life there and in less than one week i'll have my first day of classes there already 💙 idk tbh, but i never had any dream school or program uNTIL i discovered ateneo de manila university and diplomacy and intl relations. when i learned more about it, i kNEW ateneo is going to be my home 💙
