her younger years are a flurry of temper tantrums & money thrown this way & that. her mother had watched, frown permanently stitched onto her face, until enough was enough.
on the eve of jadeβs 18th birthday her mother kicks her out of their home with a letter & three suitcases of jadeβs belongings packed & ready to be moved.
(the letter had read: jade, dear. you are my darling daughter and i love you, but i fear if you continue to go down this path you will never learn the harsh truths of reality & you will become entirely too dependent on your father & i, & our money. you need to learn to live on your own, work on your own, earn your money on your own. your father & i will not be here forever to hold your hand through everything).
jade goes to the address scribbled onto the back of the letter, arrives at the roost in tears (mascara running, lipstick smudged), & the first thing she does in her newfound solitude, in her new home, is burn the letter to ash.
real life comes knocking, & it is not gracious or welcoming. jade struggles with mundane tasks, like cleaning after herself, taking care of herself, finding work to do. so, like she always does, she goes crying to daddy.

12 months later, & jade has finally grown accustomed to living on her own, looking after herself, living as a proper adult.Β
(so her bank statements show recent deposits from her father, so she isnβt working, so she isnβt making the money sheβs spending. what her mother doesnβt know wonβt hurt her).
she walks through the halls in her louboutin heels, eyes alight with childlike wonder, trailing chanel perfume behind her, perhaps not growing & learning the way her mother had hoped.Β

to summarise:Β miss jade is rich! but was kicked out of her house & forced to live in the roost by her mother, who has had enough of her spoiled brat ways & wants her to learn how to be a proper adult & humble herself a little. but her father, who canβt ever seem to say no to her, is sending her an allowance behind her motherβs back so basically jadeβs spending as much as she did before & isnβt really learning any of the life lessons her mother had wanted her to learn. personality wise sheβs kinda like a big child, naive in the way the world works (assumeβs everything can be solved by money... like thinks she can buy friendships & loyalty & romance if she just... throws money at people... apologises with a stack of cash.. .that kinda thing), but generally pretty open & sweet & genuinely trusting of people.
