Have a look at DOOM who made his legendary clarks Wallabee’s, fresh off the box ! He did not want to change too much of the original design, so check what he came up with.

DOOM, known for breaking onto the New York hip-hop scene in the 90s, has since made a name for himself as the Metal-Faced Villain. With collaborations with Danger Mouse, Ghostface and Thom Yorke, as well as many more under his belt, this is certainly an artist that needs no introduction.

DOOM’s first job as an Originals Pioneer was to co-create a new version of his favourite Clarks Originals shoe. He was quick to choose the Wallabee – a shoe that boasts a long heritage with hip hop. DOOM has carefully considered every element of this design, from the reflective, metal-like stitching, to the mask logo embossed in to the heel of the shoe.

DOOM’s second job as a Pioneer was his creative project. Led by his musical talent, he began by travelling to the home of Clarks, to capture the sounds of Street. Working with his recordings, DOOM has prepared an exclusive track remix that will be launched online. This remix will be followed by an exclusive video, created to coincide with the track, and launched here in March.

San Diego-based Go Yama, made a special tribute to the great Hayao Miyazaki. For those who might not be familiar, Hayao Miyazaki is a Japanese film director, animator, manga artist, illustrator, producer, and screenwriter. Miyazaki has attained international acclaim as a maker of anime feature films and, along with Isao Takahata, co-founded Studio Ghibli, a film and animation studio. The success of Miyazaki's films has invited comparisons with American animator Walt Disney, British animator Nick Park, and American director Steven Spielberg.

With this tribute, Go Yama clearly displays his abilities to interpret Miyazaki's works in a variety of ways - From heavy bass takes, silky boom-bap to dreamy 4/4 cuts, he keeps us constantly on our toes and we are pretty sure that the master would have been very proud if he had a chance to listen to it...
