Revitalization Part 2 // James & Eleanor
The sudden, tight pull was what she felt, still swimming in his eyes. Unable to break away from them, she didn’t miss him smiling. Devious and plotting, but she didn’t have to speak to know what was on his mind. Their bond gave that away. She knew exactly what he wanted. Sighing softly, she felt his lips touch hers. Pressurelessly, weightlessly against hers. The affectionate feel of friction from him made her shiver. The pure frisson of him to her made her breathlessly gasp. Behind her half-lidded eyes, she watched him. The clean move to be against her face. And the subtle whisper of his desires. His words made her shudder, squeezing her eyes shut. Unable to look at him because of how much she was shaking.
"James…" Uttering his name in a fragile whisper, she wrapped her arms around his neck. Those fires of his would burn her once again. She knew it would. And this time, she wasn’t going to run. Not now or ever again. Not from him. There was no debate on her feelings. No unsure thoughts. No nagging responsibilities. No… It was just him and her. Together and alone, free to do as they pleased. And now, she was back to staring at him again. Though she’d rather get lost in his fiery eyes, she wanted to look at him. After all they’d been through, she knew she could handle him. Leaning in slowly, she kissed the side of his neck.
"You don’t think I’m ready? Then… Let me disprove that, James." Her voice in a more sultry whisper in his ear. Running a hand through his his, she lightly bit and nipped at his neck, working her way up and down. Roughly holding on his hair for support, she stopped her teasing to kiss him. A passionate, desperate kiss. The brunette wanted to have him all to herself. To be completely open. To be lost in the love of her life. Her mind was so wrapped up in convincing him he was wrong, she wasn’t paying attention to whatever he was doing while her lips were still on his. Ever so sharply yet gently, she giggled darkly.
"Is that good enough, James?" Murmuring against his lips and in his mouth, she couldn’t bear to break their kiss. Even if it was to prove a point.

Revitalization Part 2 // James & Eleanor
Still adrift in his eyes, she watched him turn to look at at her. The soft yet fiery care he had for her burned through the brown of his eyes. His words were just as soft, if not softer. She more than readily welcomed his comfort. To be close to him after all that had happened. And not just the attack at the casino. No, she meant in terms of everything. All the bad and the few brief good moments they had. Right now was them coming full circle. Eleanor always thought she’d stay with Sinclair until she found her father. She did and moved in with her father, but she still thought she’d stay and protect her father’s friend. To be with him and be… whatever they were. To this day and from all the time she spent with Sinclair, the brunette thought she’d be someone special to him. And in becoming so, she could forget all the memories and thoughts of her former self.
Burying her face in his chest, she sighed softly. Eleanor could never seem to completely push him out of her head. James Steinman had firmly cemented himself in her former self’s heart and mind. To her, he had almost burned her alive and devoured her whole when they first met. She didn’t dislike the attention, but at that time, she was sorting out her emotions towards her current guardian. James swooped in and just… Such passion. The fires of that passion had left their mark forever on her when he handed her that slug. Closing her eyes, she relived that day, that moment in her mind.
All the emotions and memories made her heart soar. Maniac and unpredictable like a murder of hungry crows. A gentle tug onto his arm and shoulder, she gasped softly. The petite girl always repressed what she felt. Learning the ways of the world, especially when living with Sinclair, she never gave into what she felt until just before she and he had fought. There was a twinge in her heart and mind. A tug. A pull. Something supernatural and bonding like with her father, but more of a meld. A perfect meld of hearts. When she suddenly decided to defend James after all that happened, Eleanor knew. She didn’t love Mr. Sinclair. No, she was in love with the idea of loving him. Of being his. As greedy and selfish as he was, he would never want to keep her. Age and inexperience (in more ways than one) were their undoing, but deep down, Eleanor didn’t like to hide behind masks.
"For the night? I’d… I’d like that very much, James." Pulling back a bit, she wanted to lose herself completely in his gaze. Those internal flames calmed her. A soothing sight and reminder of all they had, have, and will have. Despite their age difference, James never once worried about that. That or her inexperience. Of course, now, she was a bit more experienced, but not with him. Blue eyes reflected so well against the darkness of his. She wanted to experience as much as she could with him. Her fiancé. Her equal. Her other half. All of that and so much more.
"And just what shall we do?” Trying to make herself comfort in his lap, she sat as best as she could while never once letting go of him. Leaning a bit closer, she smiled softly, curiously at him.
Just sitting still was enough. Her scent, her touch, her smile… everything about her he loved. She quelled his soreness than any medicine ever could and gave him something to hold onto too. His arms tightened around her waist as he kept her near, closing his eyes and listening to her soft breathing. A large hand was resting on her back, the other nestled peacefully in her brown curls. Truly he had found stillness in her, while she was his one true instrument of passion to be she was also a pacifier for his vivid emotions. He could almost feel the anger and hate towards the people that tried to kill them drown away in her love. And a gentle cuddle from Eleanor was enough to tame the ferocious part of his mind.
"For the night? I’d… I’d like that very much, James."
Whenever she stared at him like that he just wanted to lean in and kiss her. Her blue eyes were as vast as the sea and he would dive into them, and immerse himself in the great expanse of her affection. His dark mirrors experienced her, telling her more words than he could ever say. About how much he cared, how he would do anything for her, how he would die for her. The bond was so powerful it sometimes made him sick. Not in a bad way, but just so emotionally happy it was sometimes too much for him, but she always seemed to calm that.
"And just what shall we do?”
He mirrored her smile with a more suggestive one. It wouldn’t be a surprise if she could read his mind but he wasn’t sure how she would react if he told her what he really wanted. They were still both in pain and after the severe events of this particular evening he would expect her to say no to his unsaid proposal. But he didn’t want to end the night that had gone so well in pain. He wanted it to be one of the happiest nights; even if it had been spoiled already… he wouldn’t let others take away his wish to give her a perfect evening.
“Anything you’d like Eleanor~” He breathed seductively into her ear, his passions beginning to boil . “Anything… you’d… like~” Tightening his grip around her he pulled her higher up onto his lap to press her against his pelvis. Her curious smile entranced him, drawing him towards her with an invisible pull, his mouth brushed against her mouth, not quite a kiss but an exchange of affection nonetheless, enough to make him rise underneath her. Her weight pushing down on him sent the first wave of pleasure around his body, and he closed his eyes again, subtlety moving his lips to the side of her face. “I just don’t know if you’re ready for me Eleanor… Last time was clearly too exhilarating for you…”
“But if you think your ready… show me.”

Revitalization Part 2 // James & Eleanor
A bit faint and squeamish, she swallowed hard. There was so much blood, even if it was just from cuts everywhere. One cut was particularly bad. It was dark crimson, painful to to just look at it. The faint but awful reminder that she’d accidentally hurt him. With an injury of her own no less. Sighing frustratedly, she hated that he got hurt because of her. Granted, it was thanks to him that they were alive and well, but to see him hurt like this. Savior or not, it didn’t matter to her.
Eleanor Please… Taking the top off of the flask, she hesitated. Sure, this would clean his wounds and end the pain, but more pain would come first. Shakily, she took some of the alcohol in her hand to gingerly sprinkle some across his back. He was covered in nicks and cuts everywhere. The brunette didn’t want to waste his alcohol needlessly, only taking enough to cover an area at a time. After every drizzle of cleansing droplets, she would dab off the blood delicately. Not wanting to apply pressure to his cuts.
"James… Look at what you’ve done to yourself." It was almost under her breath, almost scolding him. Finishing as best as she could, she came from behind him to look at him. Even he tried to mask it, she knew he was in pain. There was nothing in this world he could hide from her. Nothing. Crossing her arms and then uncrossing them, she sighed softly. While she was more than content that she had him and they were alone, she couldn’t help but worry. An uneasy feeling of peace washed over her to look at him.
"I could never forget this place. Not ever. This is where I got my memories back and… And where I met you. Met you again, rather." Slowly, she sat down next to him, looking down at her hands in her lap. The fidgeting began. She never knew what to say exactly, but right now, she found unbreakable solace in the silence. As if the flow of the sea softened against the sand, it was a shared solace.
"Thank you. Thank you for saving us, James. I-If… If it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t be here." Turning to look at him, catch him in his eyes, she felt unsteady still. Shaken up and a bit nervous of everything. Shell shock, perhaps. The quick look into his eyes made her remember all that happened with them. Remember the fire that she almost gave into. And now, she was completely lost in it. Drowning ever so briefly in his eyes, she was staring. And now her loss of words wouldn’t break. Silently adrift at sea.
As Eleanor tended to his wounds he felt every burning drop of alcohol being pressed into his skin, wincing as she did so. He was trying his best to keep in his grouses of pain and not show any discomfort on his face while the rest of his body trembled. Yet somehow Eleanor managed to keep the pain to a minimal, even though the liquid was making his wounds sting she was being so delicate and careful. He murmured a thankyou and then sighed, letting his distress out in a broken breath.
"James… Look at what you’ve done to yourself."
She truly was the most caring person he had ever known, having almost forgotten his deceased parents. Eleanor fussed over him like a mother would. But she was also his friend, and foremostly his love. Words couldn’t describe how much he appreciated her, she could make the pain go away with just her soothing voice; a call breath of fresh air on his neck, like the soft breeze of a gentle ocean…. always cooling his fires and the smoldering residue of affliction, with tender kinesis and light-hearted words. Overwhelming relief was the primary emotion coursing through him…that and a deep rooted love that he always felt around her.
"I could never forget this place. Not ever. This is where I got my memories back and… And where I met you. Met you again, rather."
He said nothing, listening to her and getting lost in her words. He still was getting over the fact that she had come back… though couldn’t fully work out how. The tower was like their own little haven from the rest of the world, free from the madness of the streets below, close to the stars and out of harms way. Here was where he had found her and restored her memories… and tried to make love to her but she ran away. So she could start a new life… but she chose to spend it with him, embracing what she was before but also becoming something new.
Soon and they were sitting down together watching the stars, the cold night hugging them from the fires they had escaped from. Eleanor was fidgeting as usual. He couldn’t blame her, the situation had been dire and now silence fell upon them like a thick invisible blanket. She was thanking him, telling him that he was her savior. And he sat still, watching the stars glow in the dark sea of clouds and space. Finally, after a long needed pause he spoke to her, turning his head to stare into her two perfect blue diamonds that were still full of worry and wet with sadness and liberation.
“Eleanor” He said simply. getting her attension, and wrapping an arm around her, pulling her gently into his chest. “We... made it.... We.. survived.” Sobbing within himself amongst joy he kissed her forehead gently and snuggled her closer into his warm exposed torso. Her soft cheek pressed against his skin which then loosed a tingle of arousal but mostly warmth and comfort. He just wanted to hold her close. He just wanted to know she was there.
“Lets stay here for the night."

Revitalization Part 2 // James & Eleanor
As she sat down, he stared at her. A distraction. Anything to get her mind off of the pain in her leg. It was stinging badly. Perhaps it was deeper than she had thought, but escape was her first priority. Just as it was to him. Being at a safe distance now, she could relax just a bit, but not enough to drop her guard completely. Her old keen awareness never left her. Not once, but she herself did not like violence. Adjust to the situation and react properly without causing a scene or any kind of disturbance was how she’d use that awareness. Luckily, James had the same idea. That idea saved them both. Unfortunately, that couldn’t be said for the other guests. Eleanor could only hope her friends and any loved ones that were attending had either left early or were safe.
His distraction had worked. The petite girl was dizzy from blood loss. And now, that shard had to get out of her leg. It was much too painful. Not only had it hurt her, but it stabbed her fiancé a few times. She didn’t want to cause him any more pain, especially the physical kind. The explosion had caused them more than enough bodily harm. More than enough.
Eleanor… whatever happens… I love you. Be strong my angel. A quick, careful tug on the shard, and she screamed. It had dug into her deeply. He really was her protector and savior. Perhaps… Her father didn’t need to protect her. The thought was seared into her mind. Just as the pain pierced her body and the blood flooded freely from her leg, her mind focused on that single thought. The peaceful idea of not needing to be protected, yet safe around her equal… Biting her lip, she was breathing hard. Trying to not look, she saw just how bad she was cut. So much red, and then more stinging, but it was needed. He quickly cleaned her wound, bandaging it up.
"Thank you…" She whispered gently, trying to not distract him or anything. Her breath of a word wasn’t heard, but she knew he acknowledged it in some way. Feeling it in her heart, she knew he did. Of course, he was much too busy cleaning her little cuts here and there. For as reckless and dangerous as James Steinman was made out to be, he was incredibly soft and gentle with her. And now, she was sure he wasn’t so broken anymore. No… He was completely reborn. Perhaps not from ashes, but in a scorching fire that never once died out.
Eleanor… Can you stand? Or would you like me to carry you? We need to go somewhere safe… Any suggestions? As if he had read her mind, she knew they needed to put more distance between them and this now destroyed place. Finding out what had happened and why could wait. Safety and some time to recover right now was what they needed. Especially after the shock. The mental images swarmed her like an ugly guerrilla attack. Shaking her head, she tried to remain calm and at ease. At least, as best as she could.
"I have an idea…" Grabbing his hand, she hadn’t forgotten that she could teleport. No, she just hadn’t used it but once or twice. And right now, they needed to be far away. Focusing on a certain spot, she could take them both there. Or at least she would more than try. Weakly, she took to her feet. A fragile smile on her lips, she knew he’d like this. And in a flash of purple, they were more than safe. And back at the place where they first met: The tower that she could almost reach the sun. And now, she could almost touch the moon. If she couldn’t dance the night away with him, she would at least get to spend it with him.
"Hopefully, this works..?" Sheepishly, she wondered if this was a good idea, but this was where she was comfortable. And no one could or would find them and interrupt them.
The whole situation was draining, physically and emotionally. Seeing Eleanor so close to death or danger again was like a punch in the stomach, a wake-up call that told him he needed to ensure her safety. But perhaps this city wasn’t the sort of place he could settle down in, but then… where else? Although there was freedom in the skies and in the sea it was far more dangerous. Perhaps one day they would return to the surface, maybe it wasn’t as cruel now as he remembered. Though at the end of the day he didn’t mind, as long as he was with her he would protect her.
As she grasped his hand and told him that she had an idea, James Steinman held on tight, not wanting to let go of her soothing touch. Then he was taken completely off-guard as everything flashed purple for a few evanescent moments. And he felt himself implode with her, still feeling her soft hand clasped around his tightly. He had never used any kind of teleport plasmid before (He couldn’t remember Charlie teleporting him because he was unconscious), and this new sensation wasn’t too his liking at all. It was like drowning in his own blood rapidly, and then suddenly like he was being turned inside out. But thankfully the pain was temporary and he reappeared with her in a brand new location that was so familiar…
…The Tower... the place where they had first met, and a haven of safety high above the dangerous streets of New Columbia. As the teleportation sickness wore off and his eyes flickered, he saw first the reflection of the brilliant night sky mirrored in Eleanor’s eyes. They were still full of sadness from what had happened but were tranquil now. The storm was finally over and they could be still once again. He was thankful for her taking the initiative to teleport themselves to this intimate place, and quickly wrapped his arms around her again.
“Hopefully this works?”
“Eleanor… you remembered this place… Thank you.”
And then he leaned in and planted a soft, loving kiss on her forehead and carefully sat down with her, directing his gaze to the silent night. Clouds smudged over a canvas of dark blue, and the stars were shining brightly, glistening in majestic splendor. A cool breeze helped mollify the burning sensations on James’ back.
“I need you to clean my wounds.” He said bluntly but honestly, gesturing to his back. The pain was still making him clench his teeth together and grimace. He didn’t want Eleanor to see that she had accidentally hurt him but knew that his wounds would not heal as easily as hers, for she was part little sister and had some form of rapid healing. Though there was ADAM in his face the rest of his body was open to injury and unless it was treated the pain would only worsen. Pulling his shirt off, he gave her the flask and ripped off another piece of the hem of her dress. He could not see how bad his injuries were, but could feel every feverish sting, every sear of the cuts and burnt areas that had broken his skin.
“Eleanor Please..”
