As the Ides of March approaches, let us all remember it not as the day Caesar was stabbed a whole bunch, but for what it truly was: the day a group of organized elected representatives killed a sitting unelected dictator.
someone is still sleeping in the shirt you left behind..
& she came back to me
women who get top surgery and/or take T: Iām kissing you on the forehead goodnight. Hope you have a lovely dream tonight where people mind their business and respect everyoneās bodily autonomy.
Just in case any of you are confused, TikTok being banned and coming back not even 24 hours later with a giant "we thank President Trump" message is NOT a win. It's a huge red flag and a sign that this was a thousand percent planned.
ššššššš that one time my best friend roasted this bitches mom
Do you wanna know what's upsetting?
When my ex and I started dating, she would constantly cover her mouth whenever she smiled. And I loved her smile more than anything so of course I asked her why she would do that and I would move her hand away whenever I got the chance. She finally told me that she hated her smile, and thatās why she would do it. She struggled with accepting that someone could love the part of her that she disliked the most. After about a year or so of being together, she finally broke the habit of covering it up.
It took her over a year to understand that to me she was beautiful. That she didnāt have to hide from me.
I notice things. Iāve always been a people watcher. Itās upsetting to see how many girls actually do this. I see it all the time. The way girls act and their body language around the person they like or even love can tell you more than you need to know.
My point here isnāt even about my ex, but the fact that a girls confidence within themselves can sometimes be so low and all it takes is for someone to show their love and appreciation for them.
Tell her sheās beautiful. Convince her that she is beautiful. Make her feel beautiful. Because she is beautiful.
If youāre this girl .. You Are Beautiful.
I noticed your handwriting
Itās been 10 years. I was 13 years old when I met you. I asked you out in the early hours of October 13th, it was a school night but we didnāt care. We could talk for hours. You said yes with no hesitation.
You were in 8th grade and I was in 7th. We only passed each other in the 5 minutes we had between classes but when we did, our eyes would meet and the butterflies would flutter. It was a feeling that neither of us were familiar with.
Over the next few weeks we would text constantly and even call every once in a while. Iāll never forget our first kiss. I was so nervous. It was freezing cold outside and I never knew what the movies meant by feeling āfireworksā until that night.
We were together on and off throughout high school like most couples were. We were undeniably in love. You finally graduated and were off to the university you always dreamt of attending while I was starting my final year of high school. A lot happened that year. You struggled as a freshman and I thrived as a senior. You came home every weekend to be with me. You practically lived with my family and I that entire year. Spring came upon us rather quickly, I finally graduated. You made it through freshman year. We were finally at the point in our lives that we had always talked about. You were 20 and I was 19. But what was next? We didnāt talk much about it since we were in middle school. We finally reached the small achievements we had talked about at such a young age.
But people change.
I wanted kids at the young age of 25. You wanted to travel and see the world. I wanted to live in our hometown. You wanted to get as far away as possible. I didnāt want to go to college. You wanted us to make a lot of money.
We drifted. Mid July of that year, we broke up.
Now 3 years after that, Iām sitting at my parents house chatting with my mom when I notice, under a heaping pile of mail, a small letter that was wrapped with a Tiffany blue bow.
It was a wedding invitation.
It wasnāt the blue bow or the gold wax seal that caught my eye.
It was the handwriting.
when the one you love, loves someone else but youāre happy for them
āI ask you how school is going and you ask me about how my family is doing. We tip toe around the fact that we used to be so much more than small talk.ā -A bit from my English 101 assignment

āIām not sure if I believe in god. but Iāve prayed anyway. Iāve prayed for love and happiness. for myself and others. Iām not sure if I believe in god but here you are.ā
ā on the back of an old letter I wrote but never gave to you
