Being a one-man crew is challenging, but it’s also very liberating.  I shot, edited, and directed this clip with my wife’s gopro hero 6.  Since I was shooting with a gopro I knew the lighting had to be flattering, so I shot the whole clip on two late afternoons between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm.  My friend Jorge Chamorro helped me with some of the drone shots that were done on a Mavic 2 pro.  I love the way the clip turned out because it’s not pretentious and the performances are heartfelt.

For generations, the Salinas family has been producing watermelons in the rural town of Paine, just outside Santiago.  They are considered the sweetest tasting watermelons in all Chile, bringing fame and recognition to this rural community.

There is nothing I enjoy more than walking around with a band searching for the perfect spot to take their photo.  That’s what happened with the Chilean Folk group Farrios, who initially had an idea to take a photo on the lead singer’s roof, but while we waited for the sun to set we walked around the neighborhood and got a chance to make some fun relaxing shots.  They ended up using one of the shots for the CD cover of their debut project. @lavisecarecords

Los Vasquez - Yo te voy a amar (2019)

Last year my good friend Gonzalo Gonzalez got me a job making a tour video in the South of Chile over three days of the Pop brother duo “Los Vasquez”. They are arguably Chile’s most well-known pop-romantic act and have been selling out shows throughout the country for over 10 years.  I had a great time following the brothers Enzo and Italo, interacting with the musicians, staff and their loyal fans.

Last September, I was more than fortunate to take a family vacation to Italy. At first, you might think that I would be taking photos and videos like a mad man, but I mostly took cell phone shots, because I really wanted to take in all the great scenery and because my kids get really annoyed when I take to many photos.  So while I didn’t get to take as many photos as I would have liked to, I did get to take some shots with my Canon 6d.
