Kate looked at her bow. No powers, nothing special, just a girl who shot arrows. What chance did she have in this game the Accords was going to make them play. Barely any chance at all. She was screwed.  It was worth it. Her friends, her team, she wasn’t going to give in. Call her a criminal, it was just a word. Words couldn’t hurt her and she wouldn’t let the Accords hurt those she cared about. “I’m not signing.”

jubilee can do nothing but nod in encouragement at the girl’s words, her taut face relaxing in the slightest, giving way to a minuscule sliver of a smile, ‘ good, that’s good -- the more people who don’t sign it, the more chance it has to not be passed, right? ’

“of course i do. a few spots. they’re all under false names, hidden away in the middle of nowhere. you’ll be safe. they’re just afraid. the only times we really show up are when bad things happen. we were under the radar for a long time, but then when we popped up again? cuban missile crisis. after that we were hidden away again, then came forward right after lagos and sokovia. and some mutants have done things that are questionable. myself included. we just need to be patient, avoid violence, avoid striking back. that’ll only hurt our case, as much as i know we all want to hit someone right now.”

‘ i -- thank you. i love you. i know i don’t say it a lot, but i really do. -- okay, yes, that sounds like a good plan. peaceful is always the way to go in things like these, you can’t give them more stuff to base it on. we just have...really bad timing, wow. it’s still not really fair to generalize us. ’
