this is a wip but to be truthful delyiffany for me started as a joke but I genuinely do see potential. I dont necessarily ship them seriously, but I was telling a buddy about it and it's very davekattian in nature. this drawing is actually inspired at the notion that yiffany would view herself as the satyr equivalent of an alicorn if asked by delfi
THE REST OF THIS IS LOWK SOME BULLLSHITTTTT!!!!!! but.
My general idea for them is that id like them to start off hating each other like strife off the rip levels of hating (which I did doodle once) but the thing about yiffany is that shes seemingly like. a wake up call to the people around her. a quick example of this is how yiffany's reveal caused candy kanaya to start acting with more certainty and hostility, as well as her seeing the true nature of rose's nihilistic tendencies.
To add onto this, something about yiffany that I like is that she doesn't really force anyone to do anything! shes hyper independent and while we dont know her true nature yet, its undeniable she marches to the beat of her own drum and appreciates truth over all. with this, she lights the fuse just by her existence and its up to the person holding the bomb on if they want to put it out (stay with the status quo) or let it explode (breaking the status quo).
This is very clear her friendship with Tavvy. Tavvy respects Yiffany and tries to keep up with her constantly. going into battle to protect her is seemingly one of the first big choices hes made for himself, and he keeps the ball rolling by choosing to leave with vriska and overhaul the status quo.
this is one of my favorite panels because yiffany didnt force him, didn't beg him, but her body language reads as "I'm gonna go, are you coming with?" Yiffany could figure out what comes next with or without Tavvy (though I do feel inclined to believe she actually his company. he did save her life after all), but its that spark on the fuse that finally lets Tavvy see the true nature of his life and realizing that he doesnt want that for himself anymore. She also affects Vrissy as soon after this she's running after them in the fear of being upstaged.
BUT. enough of my Yiffany rage-player meta. to shed some light on Delfi, he's seemingly in the same boat as Tavvy, but worse due to the complete and total isolation he's been dealt, to the point his title is "Who Aches To Be".
Delfi doesn't fight it, doesn't even give the idea of playing the game any time of day because he truly believes that he will live and die on the sea floor so utterly alone. When the game does happen, and he is forced to participate because it's just his fate to, I imagine it could go a couple of ways. he could thrive in this new environment, but I cant imagine that won't come with consequences. I think he will be our space player, a big role in sburb or I guess Shurb, so no matter if its on the sea floor or in skaia he'll have a big burden to work at.
I think in the way Yiffany lit the fuse for Tavvy, she'll light the fuse for Delfi to realize that if he doesn't fight against the tolls of fate then he will be stuck doing things he doesn't want to do and stay constantly miserable. I think the reason they'll hate each other at first is because Delfi might fight against this notion and envy Yiffany's freedom. I should also say for this whole thing to work, him and CT like Need to stop being friends Im sorry but I need CT to lash out when he finds out Delfi is a nymph for my parlay. Delfi is space bound after all!
I can't really say much more than that because again I am just pulling shit straight outta my ass (like if I was a tad crazier id start explaining their parallels on families and gender/species), but my hope is that Yiffany is one of the key players in helping Delfi break the chains he's forced onto himself. I guess in turn Delfi could teach Yiffany a thing or two on being grounded because if she's strong enough to make ultdirk nervous then im assuming she has the power to do a lot of harm. And with a game like Sburb, having a me first attitude all the time will absolutely fuck everything up.

I do not have anything for the mountain soz, but I do have an idea of what id like tc to look.
I try not to jump the gun on designing characters before they're revealed because 1. I hate being wrong and 2. I get my hopes up. but I'm less attached to hsbc then I was say in the winter so im allowing myself to Think on it. I remember a commissioner had a pretty good one that made me think on how hes probably going to be some fusion of Gamzee and dirk who are my two favorite OG homestuck characters if you do not know. I dont really have an idea for a color palette but I imagine out of the three horses, swiss will be the lightest, CT will be mostly greys, and tc will have dark colors like Im assuming his hair is black I was too lazy to color it.
Im sooo excited for when he finally gets revealed because I can tell hes just a character ill love. your guardian being ultdirk like okay. and so above it all to the point the most joy youve had in years is making a game that you know will permanently destroy your planet and culture like okayyy. and his attachment to lylac who culturally is someone hes supposed to be contempt with like HURRYYYYY!!!!

I tried to get into lifesteal this year but I only watched a bit through Foolish and he was doing buttfuck nothing and hermitcraft seems like a lot to get into. I was into dsmp when it came out but icajhgLike idk.
