kaiser literally cannot go without your kisses ୨ৎ
the buzzing of the tattoo gun finally stopped. the artist pulled away and peeled off his gloves while michael immediately sat up in the chair, looking far too pleased with himself.
"see?" he said. "i told you it wouldn't hurt."
you stared at him, then at the fresh tattoo, then back at him. "mihya."
"you are actually insane."
his grin only got wider, because there it was.
right on the inside of his wrist, your lipstick mark, permanently inked into his skin.
you still couldn't believe he'd actually done it. it had started as a joke, a stupid joke.
he'd been whining about leaving for an away match next week, so you'd kissed a piece of paper and handed it to him.
something to stop him from being dramatic, apparently normal people would have kept the paper. michael kaiser was not normal people.
"i told you not to do this," you complained, stepping closer anyway.
he held his wrist up proudly. "and i ignored you."
your eyes dropped back to the tattoo, it was perfect, the exact shape of your lips. sitting beneath the blue rose tattoo on his arm. permanent, completely permanent.
your chest did something stupid.
because this was michael. the same michael who acted like he was above everyone else. the same michael who walked around like the entire world revolved around him. and somehow he'd willingly put your mark on his body forever.
"looks good, doesn't it?" he asked.
you rolled your eyes. "you're ridiculous."
"and yet you're staring."
you hated when he was right.
michael laughed softly before reaching for your hand, his fingers wrapped around your wrist and gently tugged.
you took a step forward, then another. until you were standing right between his knees, his hand never left yours.
"you know," he said quietly, looking down at the tattoo again, "now i never have to go anywhere without you."
your heart immediately betrayed you.
because suddenly he wasn't joking anymore. he wasn't being arrogant, wasn't being annoying, he was just being honest. and somehow that was always worse.
your expression softened. "you're such a sap."
"don't ever say that again."
he looked offended, genuinely offended. "i'm serious."
"i have an image to maintain."
"you got my lipstick mark tattooed on your wrist."
you couldn't help smiling. the second he saw it, his entire face lit up, like he'd won something, which, knowing him, he probably thought he had.
"there she is," he murmured.
"there's the smile i was looking for."
you rolled your eyes again. michael leaned back in the chair, still holding your hand. then his gaze dropped to your lips, and stayed there for a second, then another.
you immediately knew that look. "michael."
"i didn't even say anything."
he smiled, slowly. "maybe."
you groaned. he looked entirely too proud of himself.
some things, apparently, were permanent too.
